Maytag GS2121PADW, fridge running continually, does not switch itself on & off. Could it be the condensor fan motor, as I notic it does not go at all.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

Last week told we needed new evaporator. 2nd guy: it was not the evap replaced the tubing, had 2 ob leaks. recharged, fridge worked and then heated up again. notice door center edge is hot.

FRIDGE COILS or door walls SEEM VERY HOT:

The condenser coils do get hot. They can even be to hot to comfortably touch and this is normal.

The refrigerator should not run constantly but shut off with each defrost cycle.

Running constantly and never cycling off can indicate a cooling problem.

One thing to try is to wait till it has been running a few minutes then open the door and turn your cycling thermostat towards the off position. It should cycle off before getting to the off position on the dial.

If it does not cycle off then it's not getting cold enough to satisfy the thermostat. This is likely the reason the refrigerator runs all the time.

A thermometer in a glass of water can be used to check the temperatures in the refrigerator section.

You can check that all fans are running.

the reason the outer side of the door seal area is getting hot is the compressor is over heating, probably the condenser fan motor to your compressor is bad.
It should be a little warm but not hot. they don't use heaters anymore ( some older models still use heaters) around the doors, instead they use the condenser coils to remove condensation and moister, you might want to check your condenser coils on the bottom or back of fridge to see if they need cleaning
If the condenser coils/condenser fan are all plugged up they need cleaning and/or the condenser may fail or has failed..

The ones that use an electric heater will have an "energy saver" switch that will turn it off.: God is the reason I give you free advice so God is good!

Fridge FAN CONTINUALLY STAYS ON OR SHUTS OFF WHEN DOOR IS OPENED:

NORMALLY WHEN THIS HAPPENS U EITHER HAVE A DOOR CONTINUALLY OPEN ISSUE OR A BAD DOOR SEAL LETTING AIR IN AND CAUSING FAN TO OVERWORK ITSELF. ANOTHER CAUSE CAN BE DIRTY COILS AND CONDENSER AND LASTLY NOT TO COMMON IS A SHORT IN THE FAN SYSTEM ITSELF. A MORE PROBABLE CAUSE COULD BE BAD THERMISTORS OR EVEN COLD CONTROL THERMOSTAT ( WHEN THE THERMISTORS OR THERMOSTAT DO NOT GET/GIVE A PROPER READING, THEY CAN CAUSE THE FAN TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE AS THEY FAIL TO RECOGNIZE OR REGULATE THE PROPER TEMPERATURE.

Inside strip of fridge is very hot. cleaned out behind fridge and the coils, etc. fan is barely moving/not moving. any suggestions???

Replace the fan. The strip has a freon line running behind it, and when it is hot, this tells us that you have a dirty condensor, bad condensor fan motor, bad evaporator fan motor, defrost problem, or a freon system problem. When you say your fan is barely moving, I am assuming this is your condensor fan motor, which sucks air through the hot freon lines in the condensor coils, and cools the freon off. If it is barely moving, it can't cool the freon. In some brands a slow moving condensor fan can be caused by a bad main control board. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Blade falling off condensor fan motor in Maytag refrigerator

When you replacd the motor if you used the factory stamped sheetmetal nut, you will have this situation, rplace the factory sheetmetal nut with a 1/4-20 standard nut and loctite on the threads and this will solve your problem.

Maytag freezer don't freeze food or make ice

There could be several things causing the frig to be cold but not cold enough. First check thermostat control and air control. Both should be set in the middle setting for normal operation.Next check to see if evaporater fan is running in freezer. It should be running whenever compressor runs and circulates cold air inside frig as well as freezer. Next check if condensor fan motor is running. It blows air over condensor coils to remove heat. Last ,check condensor itself for dirty coils. If they are matted up with hair dust, etc. it will cause poor cooling. you can give thorough cleaning with vacuum cleaner. Hope this helps

I have a sub zero side by side fridge. Noticed that the moulding on the freezer side door was warm and the white gasket the seals both doors were very warm to the touch. Took vent plate off the houses...

the condenser fan should come on the same time as the compressor.

the compressor run on and off as fridge reaches set temp.
so as the fan, but if the fan can not start by itself, it may just need a good lubrication.

tnx 4 using fixya,
