Right-click on the desktop and select properties. you should be able to find the correct setting from there (probably in the right-most tab which will likely be be named for your video-card manufacturer).

With a simple key-combination, you can rotate your screen into any direction: To rotate the screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Arrow key. The arrow you press determines what direction the screen will be turned.

  • Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + UP Arrow Keys(or one of the other Arrow Keys).
  • Also you could right-click on empty Desktop > Graphics Options > Rotation.

My baby has turned the screen on my samsung r519. How do I rotate it back?

Usually a combination of key presses like CTRL ALT UP_ARROW
Otherwise will be someting like the following (depends on your video card)Right click on your desk top. Go to Graphics Options, Graphics Properties, and then click on the Rotation Tab. Uncheck the "Enable Rotation" Box. What I believe happened is that your daughter pressed a certain combination of keys, known as "Hot Keys." After you fix your rotation, you may want to disable hot keys to prevent this from happenening again.

My computor monitor is side wasy

Try the following key combination in order to rotate your display back to normal:

Press and hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard.
Then also press and hold down the ALT button at the same time.
Then finally press the UP ARROW key while still holding the other two keys down.

Pressing that particular combination of keys but with a different direction ARROW button is probably how you rotated the display in the first place.

Otherwise you will have to look in your CONTROL PANEL.
Then DISPLAY.
Then SETTINGS.
Then ADVANCED.
Then look in there for a ROTATE DISPLAY option.

I hope that was helpful Patsy.

Good luck and take care.

Key combinations to rotate screen

Deirdre,

The key combination to rotate the screen back to normal is: Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow

If you use Ctrl+Alt+Arrow keys - whichever arrow key you press is the direction that the screen should rotate.

Hope that helps!

My 2 years son push some buttons on me laptop and the screen is up side down now, how can I get it back to normal

First try pressing the following 3 keys at the same time:
CTRL - ALT - UP ARROW.

Hopefully, this will rotate the display back to normal orientation.

If that does not work, then try RIGHT CLICKING anywhere on your DESKTOP.
Then select GRAPHICS OPTIONS.
Then ROTATION.
Then NORMAL.

Hopefully one of those procedures solves the problem.

The key combination they probably pushed by accident to cause the event was likely CTRL - ALT - LEFT or RIGHT ARROW KEY, just in case you wanted to repeat the trick.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

Hello,

On most video cards the key combinations of ctrl+alt+left arrow, ctrl+alt+right arrow, ctrl+alt+up arrow or ctrl+alt+down arrow will allow you to rotate the screen display in any direction. Each key combination will rotate the screen in the direction of the key press.

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

Before you panic and send it in for service, there is a function key, i believe it is FN + F5 that will turn the screen off for use with an external monitor. Make sure that you have not accidently pressed this combination that would make the screen blank. Pressing the combination again would return it to its normal state. I hope this helps.
