Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
First check the cable connections, unplug and replug them in. Next check the end of the video cable that plugs into the 360 and make sure the switch is set for your type of TV. It sounds like that may be your problem.
However if it is not even loading past the boot "logo" and your are getting multicolored boxes/"kaleidoscope" effect, then your console is bricked.
Contact microsoft support @ 1-800-4MY-XBOX for an RMA before the warranty runs out.
