Re: How to install built in oven
You need to make a hole in your joinery the size of the oven put it in and you will need 4 screws to put in to hold it to joinery you will also need a 4mm twin and earth TPS cable going straight to the switch board on it's own breaker. hope this helps

Hello, I find that spraying pam cooking spray around the lamp cover and letting it sit for a while will help on removing that cover. Rember to clean the excess spray before using the oven...Hope this helps.
You won't find them new in shops as they're no longer made. But you *might* find a NOS (New, Old Stock) Alto GM60 from an online stockist, but the manufacturer's guarantee will be worthless and some spare parts will already be difficult/impossible to obtain. You'll also need to check before purchase whether it's for natural gas, lpg, butane or propane.
All late (approx. 1990 onwards) Parkinson Cowan models had appalling build quality and frequent electronic faults, so I strongly advise that you look for a current brand.
Giggles01: I wish I had an answer other than calling GE. We are about to install a used oven of the same model/same vintage. I've been unable to locate a manual and need some information from it. Would you be willing to tell me the cut-out size the manual calls for regarding the installation of the oven? Most 30" ovens require a 28.5" cut-out, and I need to confirm that for the JTP45. Thank you!
every oven has different dimensions, the easiest and best thing to do, is to slightly pull unit from the cabinet its installed in and measure the max. opening both height and width.--- if its a freestanding range that you are talkin about the dimensions are standard inches,, 20-24-30-36.
You said, , 22 years ago you built the house you are currently living in.
The above oven/microwave oven was built in. You are interested in
replacing this unit with a new unit but it must be the same size. ? by the way i You would be happy with a double oven versus the
microwave/oven duo. You have measured across the front of the unit and
it only measures 26" across. Any assistance you could give us would be
I can help you! The front is 26 inches. And how high is it from the top to bottom? Also when I sell a wall oven I always send out the installer to check the hole or cutout size. Most of the time no wall oven fits with out at least one cut! Do you have any room to cut a little on all sides? What is your model number now. And what color do you want now?? I will send you some GE wall oven models and sizes so you can check your self if it will fit. usually they have to cut at least one side to fit it in the old hole!
