It didn't work, but thanks anyways. I didn't realize that we didn't even get the menu screen. Only sound. Thanks again.

Reset the Video Output Settings.
While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings. Once you turn it back on, it should work fine.

2. If option 1 does not work call Sony because the video out chip has blown or come unsoldered.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

    You are very welcome malghamdi.

racergirl611 , I'm sorry the reset didn't work on your PS3. This is a much deeper problem for you which really stinks. Hopefully you can get it replaced by Sony.Myself and some other techs are STILL working on the motherboard solution for the no vid that will not reset.

I have picture but the sound no longer works , I changed out the video/audio cord but still no sound

Have you tried it on a different TV?
If this does not fix the problem you can go On the main menu of your Nintendo console check settings for sound.
Are all games dont have sound?
check the settings of the game you are playing on the option check for sounds.
If still this dont fix the problem find a local electronic repair shop or service center and let them have a check for you.

X360 Picture not come up sound does

could be av leads but more likely to be heatsinks on gpu/cpu.if you have a 1 year warranty send it in to microsoft for repair,if not,the extended 3 year warranty does not cover this repair and will cost £81.if you want to fix this yourself, buy a xclamp kit off ebay for £2 take apart your console(theres plenty of videos on youtube on how to do this) remove heatsinks(you should get a link with xclamp kit on how to do this) and clean old thermal paste off and apply new,put xclamp kit on do the baker mod to heat up gpu, tighten screws and 99% it will work,if not try again till it does,i've done tis plenty of times and never had 1 that i hav;nt got working again

Playstation 2 will load the game, but then only show black screen

You might of had one of the wires connected from the TV to the PS2 damaged and may need new ones or just make sure that the wires connecting each other from the TV to the PS2 are well connected. My little brother use to drop my PS2 a lot too and that happened to me once, but it turned out to only be that the wire got pulled too much when it fell and it disconnected from the TV to the PS2 and I had to only put it in well.

Did you plug in the cables in the TV for the Wii? Check if you did that or if you do, try changing the different TV setting.
