Question about Bose Companion 3 Computer Speakers

Open Question

Right connection doesn't work

I swap the speaker from the left to right connection and the right connection doesn't work. I am attaching to a Turtle Beach Montego DLL sound card in the Front Out. I can't imaginr that it doesn't work right out of the box.

SOURCE: I purchased theses speakers January,

try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty or
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
or you might have to clean the dust from your computer dust causes static which causes your computer to overheat and all sorts of problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your SOUND CARD dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

Rear right speaker doesn't work, no matter what we tried. We switched the speaker and cables with one of the others, but just that position (surround right) doesn't work.

What is the sound card and where is it

The sound card is more often than not integrated into your motherboard, check your device manager and you will probably have a realtek sound card. If so it is integrated, the only ones that arent are the Turtle Beach and Creative Labs Soundblaster models which are PCI expansion cards plugged into the motherboard. Ive never heard of manufactured computers using a soundcard that isnt integrated unless you paid for that upgrade.

My computer have no sound drivers

Hello there
For your speakers to work, my friend, you need a sound card, it could be a external USB sound card, (turtle beach) or internal Creative Labs, PCI card. "time to buy new gallet!"
so start buying a new sound card.
good luck!
