Your heating element has more than likely died. If you have a multimeter you can test this part to see if it is faulty. You can also test the timer out as well. The more common fault of most dryers are the heating element thoough.

My dryer blows cold air


You need to do some checks. Unplug the dryer and remove the rear cover. Your heating element looks like this:

I have a whirlpool elect. dryer it runs but it blows cold air what could be the reason why

When the dryer blows cold air then the issue is with the Thermal fuse which is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel that is bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi, If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly. if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip.... Electric dryer not drying clothes


The electric dryer requires 220 volts to dry clothes but only 110 volts to turn the drum .reset your circuit breaker even if it looks ok ,if that dosent work, unplug from the wall and check where the plug wire goes into the back of the dryer and look for loose or broken wires.

My dryer is just blowing cold air


Check the breaker box make and make sure the breaker is all the way over to the on side and then if it still continues check the thermal fuse and the heating element.
