Question about NorStar T7316E Corded Phone
I have lines 4 and line 5 showing as inuse. I know they are not in use, and I am not sure how I managed to get them that way. I've seen a thing saying unplug the cabinet, but I am concerned that it will erase the programming of the system/voicemail etc. Can anyone advise?
One of the annoying features of a Norstar is the auto hold. If you switch from line to line, you put the calls on auto hold. It doesn't take much to conference two lines together and drop out of the call. Now you're at the mercy of the Central Office as to whether it sends a disconnect to drop the lines.
Two bad things that we advise customers to unplug the system is when they have mystery lines tied together and/or external paging tied up. That drops all current connections and lets you start again.
