Power on the pc, but as its booting press F8, you will get a menu, highlight 'last known good configuration, and press enter for a restart.

If that doesn't do anything press F8 again while booting up then choose safe mode instead, then a lot of writing will roll down the screen, warn you that you are in safe mode, click ok.

When you are presented with the log in accounts, choose administartor, then click start>programmes>acccesories>system tools>system restore, then choose a restore date that is not greyed out before the problem started, then allow a reboot.

Need to restore my Phillips iqor computer to factory settings but do not have a disk

You need to boot your computer then look and see if there is a Recovery Partition on the hard drive. Click Start/My Computer and see if there is a Recovery Partition listed. Some times the partition might be hidden so check your owners manual and see what it says about recovery.

Have you tried doing a system restore to a restore point (date and time) before you started having problems? It's much better than System Recovery because you won't loose any data. Click Start/Program/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.

My computer won't do a system restore. Why not?

Unless a RESTORE point was SET up when the last installation was done , the system cannot be set to a restore state of an earlier date.
So you will need to reinstall or try with a recovery disc.

My computer has no sound device detected

The computer could be having some problems with its driver which is responsible for making the system to communicate with its sound card. There are two ways that you can do to make it work. You can do a system restore (restoring the computer to known good date) and by downloading the updated sound driver which you can get from the website of your computer's manufacturer.

System Restore

1. Click on start or the pearl button>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore
2. A window will open up. Select the date when your computer was still working fine.
3. Follow the instructions that will appear on the screen and let it finish until it will tell you that the restoration is complete.

Note: System restore won't affect the files and documents that you have saved in your computer. But, it will remove the programs and updates which happened after the restoration date that you will be selecting. Updates and changes in the computer's programs sometimes are the reasons for some corruptions in the system.

Driver Update or Installation

Go to the website of your computer's manufacturer. Then, look for support and downloads. Select drivers or drivers and downloads. Put in the model of your computer and look for the sound driver. Install it.

If you still have some problems right after doing the above mentioned steps, then message me. Just post your message here.

I want to restore my last week set up? how to do?

Using Windows Vista System Restore Windows Vista has a feature called System Restore that automatically backs up registry and system files whenever you install new software or drivers. This feature is useful when you install evil software that makes your computer run really slow. But don’t worry, System Restore won’t remove Windows Vista.
Using System Restore in Windows
There are two places that you can use the system restore feature from. From within Windows, you can just type restore into the Start menu search box, and you’ll immediately see System Restore at the top of the start menu:
95afb90.png Or you can type rstrui into the search box and hit enter. Your choice.
You will immediate see a screen where you can choose to roll back the system to the last restore point. You can select “Recommended restore”, and just click next, or you can choose a different restore point
23c0f17.png If you do choose a different restore point, you will see a list of restore points that you can choose from. How many times have I typed the word choose at this point?
You’ll notice in the screenshot below that the last thing I did was install Virtual CloneDrive to mount ISO images, but right before that I installed the NVIDIA drivers.
323d69a.png Click one of them, and you will have to confirm and then restart your computer to roll the system back.
6022678.png If you receive an error while restoring, then use it from safe mode and it should work fine. To get into Safe mode, you can reboot and use the F8 key right before Windows starts up.

If Your System Won’t Boot
If you can’t even get into windows, you can boot off the installation dvd, and choose the “Repair your computer” option on the lower left hand side. .
Click next on the next screen, and then choose System Restore from the System Recovery dialog. It will take a few seconds to come up, and you will see the same screen that you would see in Windows:
da0479a.png Click next, and on the next screen select the drive that your copy of Windows Vista is installed on.
Click Finish, and Vista will roll back to the previous restore point.
