It appears that all of your microwaves have bad magnetrons.
If
it's within the magnetron portion of the warranty (usually 5-9 years)
but out of the original full warranty (usually 1 year), then your
manufacturer will cover the part cost, but not the cost to visit you or
the labor charge to do the work.
But they send you a replacement magnetron. GE Customer Service is here.

should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the
control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is

Microwave was working fine with no problems until yesterday. We heated up some soup, mixed it up and went to put in back in for 30 seconds and all power went out on it. A little while later the power came back on, but now it doesn't heat when we turn it on. Any suggestions?
I have a GE Spacesaver JVM1653WH01 that wont keep running. You set the clock and strat to heat somthing and it quits in 3 to 15 seconds. After a few minites it is asking to set the clock again.

Mine is 5 years old. After only 3 years the magnatron tube failed and it was no longer heating. GE replaced the magnatron tube and now 2 years later, the microwave stopped heating again. My GE refrigerator also failed after 5 years and my GE dishwasher is leaking. I can only urge you never to buy GE appliances again.

Yesterday my GE Spacemaker Microwave oven just stopped heating. Everything else is working fine. There is a strange noise that happens when I think the heating element should be heating:) Anyway this thing is not quite a year old!
I have taken your advise and called in a service request from GE. Now I just hope I registered this oven:(. I purchased it at Lowes and I called them they only keep track back 5 months.
