Media test failure

First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.
Then the hard drive needs to be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer or laptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioning computer/laptop again.

The error PXE-E61: Media test failure usually means the hard disk has failed or the hard disk needs re-seating or the disk controller is faulty. First - re-seat the hard disk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot and go into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If it doesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.

Can not boot up computer

possible your hard drive

A hard disk failure can be catastrophic if it jeopardizes the data stored on your computer.

In addition to rendering a laptop inoperable, a failed hard disk can damage other files stored on the drive as well.

It is critical to determine whether an actual drive failure has taken place, and there are several steps to troubleshoot a drive before hard disk failure can be declared.

Unplug any devices such as printers, speakers, cameras and other external peripherals. Boot the laptop by pressing the power key.

If this does not result in a successful boot, try booting Windows in "Safe Mode."

Reboot the computer, and hold down the F8 key this will vary depending on your computer and operating system

From the menu choices, choose "Boot Windows in Safe Mode".

If the boot up progresses, then the computer is likely experiencing a software issue, not a hard drive failure.

Reset the hard drive.

This will involve turning off laptop (removing the battery is a good move, too) opening the laptop unit, and unplugging all connections and cables from the hard drive.

If possible, replace the hard drive with another drive.

This will help determine if the hard drive is causing the problem.

Plug all connections back in to the hard drive, and reboot the computer.

Repeat Step 2 if necessary.

If the computer does not reboot, the laptop is more than likely experiencing a hard drive failure and will probably have to be repaired by vendor.

hope this helps

How do i reboot a presario

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty.Next - to check if the harddrive is faulty, remove the hard drive and insert it into an USB hard drive adapter and connect it to a workingcomputer's USB port. If this computer cannot see itas an USB mass storage device and you cannot open the various folders and fileson this drive, then this confirms the hard drive is faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

My Gateway GT4010 PC keeps rebooting itself before

Try replacing the hard drive cable. If that doesn't fix the problem, then you may have bad RAM, bad motherboard or a bad power supply. Sounds like a hardware issue and not software. try booting your computer in safe mode since it doesn't load all the device drivers. If it still reboots then you'll have to keep swapping parts and booting up the computer to isolate the problem.

My ps3 has a "hard disc been corrupted needs reboot now" press x to reboot. I did all that but wont reboot but say the same thing over again

You have a damaged or corrupted hard drive. try researching for a fix on the internet. If that doesn't work then you'll need to get a new SATA hard drive for it, install it and power the ps3 back up to format the new hard drive and the old one could possibly be used with an enclosure as an external hard drive for your computer.

XP Keeps Rebooting at Startup

Hi,
Most likely it is your hard drive. There is a boot sector on the hard drive and when xp starts it looks for that boot sector. If that boot sector is damaged xp can't find it so xp reboots again...and again...and... Try a different hard drive and see what happens.

I cannot get my gateway gt5028 to reboot,, i have no disc,, people tell me yiu can reboot and get computer back to normal without one,, help!!

there are 2 things about reboot that is the reboot from the bios or reboot from the windows... if you mean you can't reboot and there are no hard disk as your primary hard disk try to check if the bios detected the hard disk. by pressing Delete key when you start to reboot the computer... make sure there are someone with you who knows something about the computer BIOS. if not keep in touch.. in Main menu in BIOS you will find If the computer detected the hard disk, if not detected try to check the IDE/SATA cable or Power Cable of your hard disk. Check if that hard disk is the first boot in the Boot section of the BIOS, if not then change the Hard Disk as your first boot.. That will help you boot your computer properly in windows..
