Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your DC14 All Floors. Like most Dyson cleaners, your DC14 is equipped with a safety device which shuts off the cleaner if it starts to overheat. This is often due to a blockage, or because the filter needs a wash. The easiest way to check for and remove any blockages is to follow the steps shown in our online guide:

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=626&product=DC14-ALLFLOORS_US

The correct way to wash the filter is shown in the video linked below. The filter should be washed in cold water without any detergent, at least once every 3-6 months. Always ensure it's totally dry before replacing it - this may take up to 12 hours.

By clearing any obstructions and washing the filter, you should be able to resolve your issue without further assistance. However, if you've followed these steps and are still concerned, it's probably best if you get in touch with us directly. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US). One of our experts will be happy to run through some troubleshooting over the phone with you and recommend the best course of action.

Kind regards,

Jack

No power, used yesterday pm no problem now ive changed fuse but nothing.

Might seem like a silly question, but the fuse you replaced it with isn't a blown one. Try it and the one you took out in another item. If they work in that then it isn't a fuse problem. Also try in another power outlet on another circuit (upstairs and downstairs) just to rule out a faulty power supply. If the supply is good and the fuses fine then it will be the vacuum cleaner itself. Either a broken wire or an internal fault.

Hi, I have the Hoover d14194 bagless pet vacuum..when I switched it on it worked but kept cutting out, I emptied it and cleaned the filters but now it won't even switch on.is there something I can

You could check the motor brushes, if they are worn and check for loose wire connections.
Another possibility is that there may be a break in the lead, plug it in and shake the lead, if it starts and stops you have probably found your problem with a broken lead.

Panasonic vacuum cleaner MC-5030 stopped and don't work

Unplug, check if brush has cord wrapped. Check for fuse, if applicable.
Check power lead in another supply socket. Check for reset button, if applicable. Contact Panasonic technical support for suggestions before heading to service centre.

Nutone cv353 unable to stop

You may have a stuck relay or one of your access port switches may be bad. According to the owners manual: "A complete check of all Wall Inlet and Power Unit low voltage control lead connections (external yellow leads). Turn system off by removing fuse or tripping circuit breaker at
house fuse box."

Hi there,

Unfortunately, we can't supply directions on how to replace the mains lead, as we wouldn't recommend customers attempt this sort of repair themselves. However, if you get in touch with us directly, we would be able to arrange servicing for your cleaner. If you'd like to do this, give us a call free on 08002980298 - our Helpline is open from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week. We'll look forward to hearing from you.

I broke the handle on my eletrolux twinclean and I recieve a second hand one, which I installed but the vaccum cleaner is still not working the power light on the unit flikers a little but is on - I am...

Check to see if you're getting 120V to the power leads of the motor. The flickering almost sounds like a bad contact in the switch or a bad neutral wire in the cord.

SpotBot: Brushed do not rotate

I had the same problem everything worked except the brushes wouldn't move. I took the top off and tested the leads to the motor and it wasn't getting any power. So I took the power board out and traced it to a large ceramic 5 watt 1.5 ohm resistor right in the middle of the board. I got a replacement resistor from a local electronic store and soldered it in. So for less than a dollar its working perfectly again. Also I put some electical tape over the speaker to quiet it down. It seems funny to have a very very loud beep to tell you when a very loud machine is done.

This is a EURO-PRO X Shark Steamer Model S3325, there doesn't seem to be any power in plugged in, no lights on the handle. Bad switch or is there a fuse?

There is usually a heat sensitive fuse link installed in the handle and is incorporated in the cord connection. If the machine gets too hot or is run while dry, the fuse can blow. You would have to replace the fuse, as they are not resetable.
