You need to press F8 while the pc is booting up.

You will then get the option to start in safe mode, highlight this and press enter, a load of drivers will load warining you that you are in safe mode, click ok, then your account and administrator will show, click on administrator and then go to control panel>users>change an account, choose your account and then click delete password.

Close down the windows, reboot pc and you will be able to log straight into windows again.

did you keep pressing F8 until a menu came up as soon as you turn the pc on, because if you got into safe mode there is no welcome page, try again pressing F8 then choose safe mode, as if not then there is something more worrying than a password problem.

I want to reset the password on my US Cellular wi-fi hotspot device.

Hi,

You can refer :
http://www.uscellular.com/uscellular/pdf/schlc11-user-manual.pdf

Or
To change the network key (password), open a web browser and type this address: http://mifi.admin/ in the url search bar. This is your mobile hotspot's admin page. If you see a "Welcome"-screen on this page with a "Login password" field, click cancel at the bottom of the page and then "Ok" to cancel the setup wizard. Log in by entering "admin" in the box in the top-right corner and clicking "Login". Click on the "WiFi" link at the top of the screen, this will open the WiFi settings page. You can change the network name (SSID) and network key (password). Click apply to save any changes made. After saving the changes your mobile hotspot will reboot and you will need to select the new wireless network or enter your new network password in order to connect to the mobile hotspot.

Thanks

How To Reset Your XP, Vista, or Windows 7 Password

You can log in to the Administrator account, but not your personal account:

  1. Logon to the Administrator account, or another administrator's account.
  2. Reset or Change the forgotten password for the user account.
For resetting your password by using a password reset disk:
  1. First on the Windows 7 Welcome screen, you have to enter a blank password into the password text box, and then you have to press the Enter key or you have to click on the Go button.
  2. The Windows 7 operating system will provide you the information you that the user account name or password you entered is incorrect.
  3. After this click on OK, for coming back to the Welcome screen,
  4. Then, click on the Reset password link that appears below the password text box. After which the Password Reset wizard will start.
  5. On the Welcome page, click on Next.
  6. You then have to click on the Insert the Password Reset Disk page, and have to choose the USB flash drive or floppy disk drive, which you want to use.
  7. Now insert the password reset disk into the drive, and click on Next.
  8. Enter a new password and password hint, which you want to set as your password and hint on reset the user account password page, and then click on Next.
  9. Click on Finish.
You cannot log in to the Administrator account, or your personal account:

Offline NT Password Disk is a very simple and very fast command line Linux tool to reset your forgotten Windows administrator password. At the time of this writing the site was down, hence the Google Cache link.
  1. Download the bootable CD image by clicking on the link, and scrolling down until you see Download.
  2. Burn the ISO to a CD using Free ISO Burner, ImgBrn, Active@ ISO Burner, etc.
  3. Boot up your PC with the bootable CD.
  4. Drivers for both SATA and IDE drivers typically load automatically.
  5. Select the location of your Windows Operating System.
  6. Select windows/system32/config as your directory.
  7. Select “Password Reset” as your option.
  8. Choose to reset as a ‘blank password’.
  9. Once blanked, type ‘q’ to quit and write the values to the registry.

How do you bypass windows password. No one even recognizes the password hint. It's running windows XP

Have you tried the built-in "Administrator" account from safe mode?
If not, then boot the pc by holding down the F8 key during startup, and selecting Safe Mode from the Windows boot menu.
In most cases the Administrator account can be accessed without a password, so you log in and from control panel you can change the password for the user you have or reset the password.
If the Administrator account has password then you might need a bootable CD that retrieves or resets user passwords, editing SAM files.

drain the power of BiOS,from the back up battery inside your LAPTOP!
By disconnecting the battery(inside) and wait for a couple of minutes, BiOS will erase the PASSWORD!

Unable to login to laptop due to forgotten login password

First thing you can try is:

1: When booting up the laptop Press F8 until you see a screen show that has an option to boot in "Safe Mode"
2: Once it has finished booting up you can Select Administrator and hopefully there is no password set.
3: If there is no password set then login as Administrator and goto "Control Panel", Select User Accounts and change your daughter's password to something she wont forget ;p

if that fails then you can try this

http://www.lostpassword.com/

Offers a program that resets your passwords.

Hope this helped.

Try to go to http://login.live.com/ and try the forgotten password option, and you'll have a new password in your mailbox, log in with that and change the password inside and she'll be able to log in to her account once again.

Password

because its a vista system, you have to get someone to hack the system and change the password, there is no option to boot into the Administrator account because it is dissabled by default. She has no access to the pc at all now and i doubt that a high street store will correct the problem for you (even though it can be done). They will suggest a recovery which will wipe out all you daughters personal data depending on the type of recovery done

I have a Toshiba Laptop Satalite A100 System Unit - Model No. PSAA8A-IHQ03R, which is installed with the Protector Suite QL, and is now approx 15 months old. Approx 3 months ago, the laptop was involved...

I have to give the credit to my daughter, who has fixed the problem so that all is ok.

She simply saved all the data on my file, then deleted it completely from the laptop. She then created a new User Account for me, after which the Security Suite asked me to enrol as if I was a new user.

At this stage, all is working perfectly, but I'm having a hell of a time going through & deleting all the double info, but it's working so I suppose it's worth it.

Hope this helps somone else.
