Question about Apple MacBook 13"White /2.0Ghz Intel Core2 Duo White/2GB (2x1gb)/80GB/SuperDrive (Z0DT) Mac Notebook
I have a macbook and during a party last night - someone fell on it and the screen is messed up... i took it to the store and though am inside the 1 year warranty - i was told i need to pay for it and it would cost 600 bucks.. that is ridiculous man... i am student and i already paid 1200 for the computer.. my friends bought dell and one of them had their screen changed for free through customer support.. why wouldnt apple do it and even if i had to pay for it in the worst case - why is it 600 bucks?... i def cannot afford that :(
God am so sad...
Can some one suggest any alternate solutions that are cheaper..
Yep, I understand your concern.
The cheapest and quickest way is to get an external monitor.
You can pick up flat LCDs very cheaply these days. Even second hand ones on ebay.
The only down side is you cannot use the mac on the move.
I for instance have a monitor at work and at home. I just plug my mac into the monitor where ever I am.
The new monitors come with digital cables.
