Sounds like the cog belt or timing belt from the motor to the mainshaft has broken and fallen off.

My typewriter doesn't move forward every time i type ... what do i do?

You may need to reset your margins with the margin set button on either side of the roller. If the carriage is stuck right in the middle and will not move forwards or backwards, there is a little toggle button right under the carrier return handle. You may have to turn your TW on it's right side to see this small hidden button. This locks the carriage down for travel. Find that little toggle and move it.

Can't find carriage lock on Olivetti Lettera 25

Learn how to unlock the carriage in Olivetti Lettera 22 Manual posted by Ed Cornish (Carriage Locking Lever 7). It is a different machine model, but the lock/unlock mechanism might be the same.
You can see the full manual at Ed’s Flickr account or you can download it from here: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1322442/Olivetti%20Lettera%2022%20Manual.pdf (temporary link)

need to state problem a little more clearly. is it too high or low so that only the top or bottom of the letters show? can you take it and get your money back? in my opinion these machines are not constructed very well and are not very good to even type on. if you can find an older manual typewriter that is in good shape it will type better and last longer - sorry

Ribbon supply

This ribbon fits many different typewriters 25 and 35 are the same. Spool should be the metal type not the plastic, and you need the nuts on the top....
