Sounds like you have a dead battery again. Who install you battery? Did they
check out the charging circuit on your auto. If a professional mechanic
installed your battery then have him check everything out; such as, cleaned
battery terminals, the ground strap is solidly connected the body, charging
system is working. If a professional mechanic didn't install you battery.
Remove the battery from the car/truck and have it fully charged. Clean the
ground and positive terminals with wire brush until the lead is bright and all
the corrosion is gone. Clean the battery terminals until the batter terminals
are bright. Get a couple anti-corrosive felt disk---they look like two big felt
washers, one red (+) and other is black (-). Insatll the battery and make
sure the terminals are tight. Start the car/truck and while the vehicle is
running take a voltage test across the battery with multimeter, volt meter, etc.
The voltage across the battery while the vehicle is running should be 13.8V to
14.1 volts. If not, Have the alternator check out!
Like you said you have had everything check out. Check it out again. If
everything check out again then there is a internal component, wiring shorted
which pulling current the battery and could drain the batter of current within a
few days.
If you are using your car for a few days to running errands. You car will run
on the battery with no charging cycle working. Once the battery voltage falls
below a certain voltage point the computer will only limit certain electrical
components work, door locks, maybe one window and this is iffy! The reason why
you can't get the transmission out of park is the locking solenoid that operates
with the brake switch will not function. This function is a safety procedure
that is Incorporated within the vehicle design. . GB...stewbison
