42 in lcd vizio "no signal"

Just last night my vizio "broke". When I turn it on, it says "no signal" on a blue screen and then 5 seconds later the tv turns off.

I saw where you mentioned that it is the main board.

When can I get a new one and what is the price range? Is it easy to install?

Can there be any other diagnosis for my TV? Like a cable or something?

Thank you. Vizio 50" Plasma HDTV. Turned on one morning and no signal appeared on screen. Called Technical Support and they said it would cost $650.00 to fix! The TV is only 18 months old! We did not purchase additional warranty.

My Vizio 42" Plazma started flickering a couple of days ago. Have found that if I turn the set off for a couple of minutes the set will be fine for a while and will start with the flickering again. It seams like it could be a over heating issue with a componant, any info would be appreciated. 15 months old.

If the TV have a no signal sign which means most of the important part is missing. Try checking your connections. The best way is to hook up a dvd player using AV input (the yellow, red and white). make sure that you turn the device on and whatever input you connected the device to is selected. if your TV is a P50HDM model, the TV will shut itself off after a short period without and input connected.

Why does my LCD HDTV go to a blue screen when changing channels

if using a box it may be normal but not nice, I would suspect the set is a bit slow reacting to signal change. I remember some nasty JVC sets that when going up or down a channel the screen would blank for about two seconds and come on, normal since all those had that feature(no channel surfing)>

I turn on the tv and i get a blue screen for 5 seconds and the tv shuts off. Any ideas?

It does not have any input connected. Without any input, the TV switches off.

The tv had blue screen briefly showing "no signal" then turns off. ... and I am getting the same blue screen-no signal.

If your television is displaying a blue screen or no signal message and then turning off, your TV may be at an inactive input. Here's how you can get back to watching your TV:
1. Powering on your TV and press the INPUT button on the VIZIO remote control repeatedly until a picture re-appears.
2. If this does not work, try again but press the button slower this time.

I got this off the vizio website.

I turn on the tv and it has a blue screen and no

Just try to reset so picture will back to normal again, some LCD TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1. Unplug the LCD TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the LCD TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the LCD TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the LCD TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the LCD TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the LCD TV.

Hope it may help you;
