Question about Bosch Nexxt Premium WFMC6400UC Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Bosch Washer We are wondering if you can help us with a problem with our Bosch Washer. The rubber seal around the door seems to be very, very dirty. We have been told by the dealer to clean the washer once a month with a product that dealer sells called "Afresh." Although we have done that, it does not seem to clean the rubber seal around the door. As a result of this rubber seal being do dirty, it is not depositing small dirt specks on our clothing. These small specks of dirt do not easily come off the clothing and when we try to get the specks off, we end up rubbing it into the clothing even more. Is there something we can do about this? The dealer told us it happens because I leave the wet clothing in the washer too long and also that I close the door before the washer dries out. Neither one of those scenarios is true. I immediately take the wet clothes out and do not ever close the door. We have also noticed that the water sits on the rubber seal at the bottom in the pocket shaped space there. There are three holes there but they do not seem to be draining.

You know, Dealers would tell you any thing just to sound clever.
it needs a service,The reson being,on the back of the drum and under the drum you get bearings, i think 3 of them, they r filld with grease.Just take if for a service or if you can do it ur self, after that you can clean that door rubber with petrol, YES Petrol :).

Hope this helps you...

Manual release on door lock of a bosch nexxt series 100 washer

Try pulling door up before out. My washer does this when the rubber around the door gets a piece of wet paper under it, or I have overloaded it and the rubber gets moved. Once open, run your fingers around the rubber seal to verify nothing under it and that it lays smooth.

The rubber seal came off of the inside during the spin cycle - behind door against the tub -- and a wire ring came out. I put the rubber seal back on but have no idea where the wire ring would go? Is this...

The wire ring is the seal retaining spring, it fits in a groove at the rear of the door seal.
Double the seal back in the drum, and fit the spring around the seal at the rear of same, it fits inside a groove, it is difficult, so persist and be patient.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Metal ring aroound rubber seal fell off.

Start with the spring at the bottom, work the retainer around until the seal starts to pull away from the washer. Now grip the loop that the spring attaches to on the side that isn't in place and open the retainer. Push the retainer in place and release the spring.
