I think you made a mistake, if your sound card isn't an additional card, then your sound device is SoundMax AD1888. You can download it from this link :
http://www.getpcmemory.com/drivers/motherboards/download-asus-p5pe-vm-motherboard-windows-xp-drivers/ (Third from the list available) Click on the Wdm0Q1camr.zip. The name you mentioned here Rlt 8101L is not a sound card, it a Lan card. I hope you understand when i make it clear about this. Or else you've additional card (Ad-ons sound card), then it'd be difficult for us to know since you haven't mentioned the device name.

Hi i installed xp prof. on gx280 motherboard and no sound

Hi,

after you install windows xp, you might have to install xp service pack. Give this a try to see if it picks up the sound card. If not, you might just have to crack the case open and see what kind of sound card you have and download the driver.
let me know if this helps.

No sound on MOBO

You didnt say what operating system you are using. If you are using XP you may need to update xp then reinstall. DirectX 9 has to be installed before most of the newer sound drivers will even try to install. If your copy is XP or XP sp1 you probably just need to udate dx9

then install your sound drivers

Audio - Vista 32Bit

There only drivers written for
SoundMAX Audio Driver version 5.12.01.3663 WHQL driver for Windows 98SE,ME,2000,XP
No VISTA yet.

You can call ASUS and ask them if they are planning to write them,or pick up a new sound card that will be compatible with VISTA.
