Question about Mitsubishi WS-65809 65" Rear Projection Television

No audio in input-1 (where DirectTv is set up to)

Our audio is not working in the input-1 mode. We have DirectTV set up to it. The only difference I can find between the modes is that, under the audio settings, the "TV listen to:" option is set at "N/A" & there is no options to change it to. The other modes have it set to "stereo". I don't know if my little ones were playing with the remote and changed something or if it is a problem with my DirectTV. I have tried every button and can not figure it out. I would appreciate any help!!!! Thanks!!

Good Day, matt30;
So, the the sound was working in the input ONE mode? Try resetting the D-TV & TV, by unplugging both for about 3 to 5 minutes, then plug both back in. If no fix try input TWO.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

How do i turn off the closed caption on my toshiba 51h84 tv? i tried setting via the remote and changed the CC option to OFF but i still see the closed caption wording...it is driving me crazy!! help!

What is the source of your TV signal: Cable? Dish Networks? DirectTV? Antenna?
Many times the Cable/Dish Networks/DirectTV controller also has an option for closed captioning. Please verify that a controller is not setup to deliver the CC data.
Also, try setting the TV CC using 'C1' or 'T1' and selecting 'Enter' to accept the change; then come back and set CC to 'Off' again to see if toggling on/off helps.

Screen doesn't appear to be HD even though it is an HD TV. Directtv suggests I check tv set up with you. how do i know if HD feature is working correctly. can u help me with the set up if not?

WD 65733 IS an HD TV.
The signal coming into is the key.
You must use HDMI or Component Input to translate HD to a TV.
Check the output resolution of you DirecTV box in its setup menu.

Just connected our directv hd receiver to the tv via component cables, because we just bought a blue ray player and the only output for that is HDMI and since there is only 1 DVI input we had to change the...

You may be able the settings of your directTV box to stop frustrating you. If you help me identify the model you are using, I can research the proper menu choices you will need to choose to select the correct features. There are many different directTV set-top boxes available.

My own home theater setup did the same thing, and my solution was to use component cables from the PVR instead of HDMI cables. It is too bad your blu-ray doesn't allow for this configuration.

My work-around until I realized that using different interconnects fixed the problem, was to turn the TV off and then on again whenever switching from HD to non-HD sources. This fixed my problem, maybe it will fix yours.

I hope that helps.

My LXI TV won't allow me to get any channels above 13 after doing the auto scan for channels. I am using DirectTV.

The only way to fix the problem is to hook your TV to a standard cable hookup and go through the "auto memo" scan process. The auto scan progarm then automatically sets itself to the CATV mode, rather than the standard mode, so channels above 13 can be received after disconnecting and reconnecting to a DirectTV, satellite antenna.

direct tv hd receiver is hdmi or rgb which is a different signal than the rgbhv input on the back of older mitsubishi tv . You can buy a converter that converts the format for about 90 dollars online. It converts rgb or component to vga/rgbhv
