Question about Flashlights & Headlamps

1 Answer

Surefire 6p I was changing the battery in my Surefire 6P flashlight. The back end that has the push button slipped out of my hand and fell in the console of my car. No big deal....at least so I thought. I put the batteries as I always have. But it would not work. Could not get the button to depress. The spring is still in the back end. The button appears to be stuck or something I am just not doing right. Can you assist? Thanks in advance

Have you tryed looking for the button? Or you can try WD-40 but make sure that you wipe it down and when the button slipped out did you drop the flash light cause if you did you need to buy a new bulb.

You sent a new button;cause old wouldn,t push in;new one dosent

Hello Ebet:

Sounds as if the problem is either not the button, or the button is not installed correctly.
This is one of those times when you'll need to carefully dismantle the unit, and keep the parts organized. Look at the function of each part, and make sure that it is working as required.

When you find the problem, it should be very evident, and you will then need to re-assemble it, making sure that each piece is correctly installed and functioning.
It is both fun and satisfying.
Enjoy

How do you open the flashlight to replace the battery?

You have to unscrew the end tailcap. Remember, unscrew it counter clockwise, and when replacing the batteries keep in mind the polarity.

Flash light costs $39

Button swith assembly costs $41

Not clear why...

Maybe you have the Turbo head conversion... $105.

You could replace the switch, or buy a new flashlight, and transfer the upgrades..
