How to have internet in my nintendo ds lite - Nintendo DS Lite Console

The Nintendo DS Lite does not have a function that allows you to browse the Internet.

I ran into this recently when we got a wireless network at our house. In order to browse the internet on your DS Lite, you need some kind of browser software, which can be purchased.

It should be noted that the DS Lite is only able to connect to a wireless network that is encrypted with a WEP password. It cannot connect to a network encrypted with a WPA or WPA2 password. Unfortunately (for the DS Lite), a lot of wireless networks are making WPA the standard, because it is more secure. However, you can change the settings of your wireless network (typically) so that it is encrypted with a WEP password. Just be aware that this makes your network less secure.

Can You Use Nintendo DS With Wii?

The portable Nintendo systems, Nintendo DS, DS Lite, and DSi, are connectible with the Nintendo Wii system, much like the compatibility between Nintendo's Gameboy Advance and Gamecube video game systems.

1. Purpose
   • Connecting the Nintendo DS, DS Lite, or DSi to the Nintendo Wii allows owners of these systems to use them to their maximum potential, as they take advantage of the Nintendo Wi-Fi connectivity. This allows you to use the systems simultaneously with certain Nintendo DS games.
     
   Connecting
   • To connect the Nintendo DS, DS Lite or DSi to the Nintendo Wii, the Wii needs to be connected to the Internet wirelessly either through a router or by the Wii LAN adapter. These Nintendo systems share a Wi-Fi connection, and this allows the portable Nintendo systems to connect instantly to the Wii via the wireless signal shared by the Wii and the Internet.
     
   Function
   • Once you have your portable Nintendo system and Nintendo Wii connected, the DS will act as a controller and allow you to play the DS game through the Wii system while maintaining the touchscreen and microphone capabilities of the portable system. Another function of the connection is that the Wii is able to expand the portable Nintendo system's games.
     
   Games
   • There are only a handful of portable Nintendo games that allow you to connect to the Wii, including the Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl games, which allow players to use Pokemon accumulated via these DS titles to battle with in the Wii's Pokemon Battle Revolution game.
     
   Future
   • Nintendo has commented that there are plans of being able to download and play game demos to the portable Nintendo systems through the Wii's Nintendo Channel.

There is no built-in Web browser for the Nintendo DS Lite. There IS however, a piece of software you can purchase that enables you to surf the Internet on your DS Lite. It is called The Nintendo DS Lite Browser, and it was developed by Opera. You can find this online on sites such as Amazon or eBay, but your chances of finding one in a video game retail store are slim, as I believe the browser's manufacturing was canceled a while back.

Change the security to WEP encryption.

Which LCD is blinking?

If your top screen is blinking before cutting off, your DS lite has a problem with the bottom screen.

If the bottom screen blinks before cutting off, your DS lite has a problem with the top screen.


Can you confirm?

no the ds lite is a smaller version they will be to big on a ds. there is another kit for the ds

Try useing the internet on www.nintendo.com to repair it.Or, look on your nintendo ds paplet or the box to see were to get repaired.....but if those doesn't work try going on gamestop to buy another one for 35 bucks total!!
