Hi i have the same phone and i had that problem. Have you tried going to settings then click the more button then click security and Auto Screen Lock. There are 5 options you can choose from click off and that should fix it.
I have a new LG Vue and cannot figure out how to unlock the keypad, during a call the screen keeps locking. It does unlock when I press the unlock button but it keeps appearing throughout call or text. Is there anyway I can fix this. If not I am selling this phone.
That is built into the phone and I have not been able to find a work around to change that. You may want to try this forum http://www.lg-vu.com/index.php It is the best LG Vu forum out there. You will find all sorts of answers on the Vu there. One rule for the forum is that posting questions is last resort. They frown on posting without doing a search, reading the Downloads/FAQ and the How to.. posts. They discuss the keypad lock there also. They have all sorts of neat ways to do things on the Vu that is not available on the crappy User Manual.

ok this model of phone has a sensitive screen and will cause the screen to have a slight malfunction if it is repeatedly touched. you really want that screen locked as soon as it can. you can set the screen to wait a little long but i also have this model of phone and if your talking on it with the screen unlocked you will scramble the calibration on the screen. to repair the calibration you go to the four little dots hit it go to the settings wheel at the bottom right. ok now go to more . go to touch calibrations at go thru the calibration of the touch screen it may tell you that your off a few times but dont worry this is normal. continue thru the steps and save when you feel you have it set to your liking.
I have the same problem with my LG VU on Rogers in Toronto. I don't think there is a solution to this, as simply turning off the keylock feature only works when the phone is idle. You could try an excellent site for the VU, but you will probably need to mess around with the phone's software using Bitpim, which voids the manufacurers warranty.
you need to go to menu then settings then security then keypad lock it should ask lock now or auto lock wich will lock keypad after about 30 seconds with no activity, after locking keypad when you push a button it should tell you to push somthing like menu star to unlock this should stop your phone from dialing in your pocket
the only options Ive found for this are if you hit a button with the slider closed it asks if you want to unlock the keypad. Then you hit the right top button (says "ok") and it unlocks...this stays like this until you open and then close the slider. This is the only way I know of to unlock the keypad, I have not found any other way in settings menu or anywhere else. Good luck!!
