I have a Bush Tall Larder BALF55143w My problem is that I have a lot of condensation inside the larder all the time. The condensation on the back panel freezes into lumps, the water on the undersides of the shelves stays unfrozen. I have the fridge set at 3. Any suggestions

Bush Freezer M5085UCFR stopped working?

Just bought a bush bcf99l chest freezer. The red run (compressor) light has stayed on and the front of the freezer is quite hot to the touch is this normal?

normal if it is the outside surface that is warm
as that is the condenser exchanging the heat through a panel
the compressor will run for a period until the heat inside the compartment is brought down
Experience has proved that to get any fridge /freezer to work well , place a bowel of water in first as that gives a heat source to cool down and it will do so more quickly that just an empty volume

I bought a bush fridge freezer 2 years ago and it just stopped working i then had to buy another one is there anything i can do

Hello John;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There is nothing I enjoyed more than getting a service call on a refrigerator freezer. There are so few parts and the parts are easy to access. Other than a premature compressor failure, you could have gone into a site such as this, explained the problem, and have someone such as I walk you through it.

Why isnt the top part of my Daewoo FRS-U20BG larder fridge/freezer working although rest of freezer seems ok?

Is it just the freezer section? Open the freezer door for a minute and then, without shutting it, press the button on the inside that makes the light go out. The fan at the back at the top of the freezer should start whirring. This circulates the freezing air. If it doesn't start then that's your problem as the freezing air isn't getting to the top of the freezer. It's simple enough to replace. Buy a new part (30 pounds?) and replace from the inside by removing the back panels to the freezer. Turn the freezer off and unplug first though, obviously! Hope this helps.

Side of freezer seems warm

Hi!!

Don't worry about the line, it is supposed to be the way it is. If you are talking about the condenser coil, located on the back bottom part of the unit, with a small fan in front of it, yes, it is supposed to be hot.

The condenser job is to disipate the heat absorbed by the evaporator (the coil inside the freezer). Make sure the condenser is clean and condenser fan is working, also, make sure there is air circulating thru the back of the unit to help cooling the condenser.

The noises you hear, are probably the defrost coil melting the ice on the evaporator, this function is on a timer and happens 3 or 4 times a day.

Good Luck!!

FRIDGE COMPARTMENT NOT COLD ENOUGH.

If you have never defrosted it before, leave it off for a lot lot longer, doors open in a warm area. Is the fan working when you close the door ?(or hold the door switch in), if not, there could be a problem with the condenser fan), otherwise 90% of the time, they are frosted up internally, and because of good insulation, need time to "warm up" inside, in order to defrost
