Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

1. create a free email account (e.g; gmail) and give the username & password to someone you trust in philippines (you could use your existing account, but u will have to give out your password)
2. Ask the person to log in as you into gmail and on the left, select(click) on "Compose"
3. The window opens, click on the paperclip to attach files
(you should attach 1 file at a time as attaching multiples may hang)
4. Either click "send" or save it as a draft.
5. now you log into the same account and open(click) the drafts option on the left... You should see the email with the attachments ;)

good luck

Phili[s dvd3480 has stopped recording when finalizing only reaches 98% and stops please help

That last part is the actual finalizing - the writing of the track end data. That data is identical for all the disks and it should be copied from the data stored in the firmware.
If the finalizing fails it's because the firmware has been corrupted. This happened because there has been a fault in the processor of the recorder. All you can do is to do a firmware upgrade. You can find it here, with the instructions
