I accidentally placed a Mini SD card in the memory card slot of my Lenove Y530. If it was too small for the slot, it should have gotten out easily. I tried shaking the computer but to no avail...

Try inserting the memory card into an USB card reader and then plug it into a different computer. If this computer does not detect the memory card then the memory card is probably faulty.

I have a sylvania notebook i want to change os how do i do that i have no cd rom do i use a usb flash windows ce is harable.

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot change the OS on that notebook as it is an embeded system. The Gsystem is burned into a chip on the mother board and the only way at present is to reprogram a like chip and solder it in place after de-soldering the old chip. Then you would have to buy another embeded system and learn to program an EEprom chip.

Memory card stuck inside Memory card slot.

Your only bet is a pair of tweezers, The SD slot is not "openable" When these fail the whole reader assembly is disconnected from the motherboard and replaced.

I would say try your local beauty supply store or a pharmacy for a longer thinner pair of tweezers.

Should that not work you have to decide which is the lesser of two evils paying for a tech to replace the component or just leaving the card in there and forego the use of the reader.

Another option is to use a heavy gauge sewing needle to try to push the micro sd card towards the front where yo can grab it with the tweezers.

MAKE SURE the battery is pulled out and the laptop does not have power.

Insert memory card

I am assuming you are trying to read a SD card from a phone or a sim card. If it is an SD card it will be a micro SD. You will need an adapter to make it a full sized SD card and then it will in the card slot on your laptop If it is the sim card you would need a special machine for that and there is nothing there but the phone's codes anyway. You should be able to find a cheap micro SD card at CompUSA - I think about $6 - $8, and it should come with the adapter.

My memory card is stuck in the laptop in the hole where it is supposed to go, but sideways and very far in.

How did you managed to do that? Once I had a similar problem, when a friend of mine inserted microSD into laptops SD cardreader slot. We got it out with two toothpicks, but be careful not to damage card's reading cells.

just stick it on the side towards the monitor if it works a lil light should come on

if its a sony memory card u might need a small adaptor that are like a dollar

or if its a sd micro or min u need to get the daptor to turn it into a regular size sd card must memories card will come with those adapters when you buy them

Sd card stuck in memory reader of toshiba laptop

I had the same problem, read some of the proposed solutions and came up with one that worked for me! Here it is: (1) cut a piece of duct tape that is about half the width of the slot and a couple of inches long (2) use a small flat head screwdriver and depress the card down, so that a small gap is created above the card (3) take a second small flat head screwdriver and force the tape into the gap above the card - adhesive side towards card (4) continue to work the tape into the gap so that it covers as much of the card as possible (5) remove the screwdrivers and gently pull on the tape until the card is removed!

CD & SD Card stuck in Asus Pro31F notebook

gant really help on the sd prob.sd usually push in to insert and push in again to remove.
cant imagine how you can get cd stuck between rom and chassis.anyway if you look closely at your rom you will see a small hole.you push a thin piece of wire into this to eject the rom hopefully giving you more room to play with and remove disk.a paperclip made straight is an ideal tool for this.
as for repair;tell me your model and i'll check to see if I have it
I have nearly all hp service repair manuals, some toshiba and ibm

Digital camera sd card stuck in laptop

Hi...
Remember that the SD card has a little slot at the center we'll use that to retrieve the card. First, find a "medium safety pin" and straightened it and on the sharp edge, use a plier to make a little hook... Use that to pull it out....

Use an extended card holder to insert the SD card because the design is for the mini stick SD card...

Goodluck... happy Fixya...
