Question about Canonical Ltd. Ubuntu

It's a matter of your videocard being current enough and Xorg supporting that card as it is configured; you can of course just try it and get an answer safely, intuitively, and in about a minute.
In brief, if your CPU can go over 1GHz and your videocard's a GeForce 4 (or ATI X800) or newer, even Centrino 2 graphics, it should run well.
