I agree with Rick but can I make a suggestion to help you find
a way to get good equalisation. Taking each equalisation control in turn ( whether it is rotary or slider ) and while singing into mic ,
move through the range of tones and listen carefully the effect on the voice. There will be a point in each band where the sound is better than others...do this with each eq range and you may have to re-adjust some of them but you will start to hear what sounds better...
Equalization will vary depending on the person singing, as well as the acoustics of the room. Thus, it is not possible to have a single answer to this question.
