Dude,

If yuo have a desktop, then reseat the CMOS battery. You can search on how to remove CMOS battery on google or youtube. That should reset the BIOS password.

You need to open the system cover, look for a coin like battery inside. It will have a '+' and '3V' symbol on it. That's the battery.

Let me know if you need futher assistance. Do it fast ans start studying my friend!!

All the best. Cheeeerzzzz

Blue bios password request. cannot get passed.

If you've already tried to get past the password 3 times and got it wrong each time, chances are you might have lost all the data on the hard drive.

Easiest way to get past the password is to take out the cmos battery and hold the start button down for at least 30 seconds (make sure battery is removed on a laptop and/or power is disconnected.)

When you restart the computer you'll get an error message. Just load defaults and it should be fine. You'll also need to reset the clock.

Using a Backdoor BIOS Password

Some BIOS manufacturers implement a backdoor password. The backdoor password is a BIOS password that works, no matter what the user sets the BIOS password to. These passwords are typically used for testing and maintenance. Manufacturers typically change the backdoor BIOS passwords from time to time.

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password
Download (Keydisk) http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Can be reset using the Key Disk.exe utility, to do this you need a 1.44Mb floppy disk. Format the disk using Windows and then with a hex editor, change the first five bytes of the second sector to 4B 45 59 00 00.

Then put the floppy into your machine and boot it up, you'll be asked for a password, just press Enter. Then when you're asked to set the password, type Y then Enter, this will get you into the bios configuration where you can then type in a new password.

Dell latitude D600-- My repair person said that the BIOS reset itself, and I need the administrator password. How can I find this?

First of all the BIOS is Read-Only and resetting itself would mean that you lost all backup power to the computer. Typically you need to take the computer to a repair shop to get the BIOS reset if it has been password protected.

How can you Reset Portage 7000c BIOS PW?

Hi,

You could try and pop out the system battery and let it sit for a week and see if the password gets wiped that way. BIOS is EEPROM and that means data is stored even after power is removed, but if it sits for some time information like passwords and time are lost and need to be reentered in.

Thanks,
Armymason

I lost my setup password

I can get you started if you're looking for the bios password. reboot the system. when you're prompted for the password press F12. this will give you a 5 digit hash code. You'll need this to crack the master password. beyond that, I can't help but the hash code should get you started. good luck.
