I have a xd picture card H512mb and it has stopped working - an error message saying 'card is not innitialised' comes up on camera screen. Is this fixable?

If formatting the card doesn't help, the card is probably defective.
To format press Menu/OK / Setup / Format / OK.
Formatting will delete the card.

Why My kodak dc280 can not read the memory card?

Try formatting your camera memory card If you own camera memory cards that have been used in other digital cameras, the card may not be properly formatted for use in your camera, or that data on the card may become corrupted. When these issues arise, your camera indicates that the camera memory card needs to be formatted.
When you format a camera memory card, all of the information on the card is erased. This includes any borders supplied on the card.

Internal memory is full whato do next

If you want to keep the pictures, you'll need to download them to your computer using a USB cord or find a "copy" entry in the setup menu to copy the internal menu to your memory card. After you've done this, remove your memory card and go into the setup menu and scroll to "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory.

Screen says write protect

Sounds like you will need to format the memory card. This will permanently erase all the data from the card and then you will be able to use it again. To format the card: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the card can be used again.
