Yes, Netscape 6.2 will work properly with the web page-based interface used in D-Link DSL routers, however, due to problems the browser has loading Java applets and working with Java scripts all of the features may not be visible. Netscape 4.7 does work with the interface, but is extremely slow in loading the various configuration pages. For these reasons, it is recommended to use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or 6.0 to configure D-Link DSL routers. Internet Explorer loads the pages faster and Java applets work properly, as shown below. Note the tree in Fig. 1 (using Internet Explorer), representing the router´s various configuration pages and in Fig. 2, the PPP Connection information. Using Netscape 6.2 as shown in Fig. 3, the configuration tree is missing and in Fig. 4 the PPP Connection Information is not displayed.

Unplug the power cables from both your DSL modem and D-Link router.
Verify the Ethernet cable is plugged into both your DSL modem and the D-Link router.
Plug the DSL modem power cable back in and wait for the self-test to finish.
Plug the D-Link router power cable back in and wait for the self-test to finish.
Plug your laptop into the D-Link router using an Ethernet cable.
Can you access the D-Link configuration page now?

Check to see if your computer is getting an IP address from the D-Link router.
Here's how to do that, assuming you're using Windows.
Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard then press the letter R.
In the Run dialog box type 'cmd' (without the apostrophes).
Click OK.
In the command prompt window type 'ipconfig /all' (without the apostrophes).
Press Enter.
Look for the line that reads 'Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection'.
Verify that 'Dhcp Enabled' is set to 'Yes".

Every time I try to access my DI 514 screen i get my internet provider DSL configuation screen

I presume you are attempting to access your router by typing the numeric address (e.g., 192.168.1.1) into your browser.
The address you are typing into your browser is apparently the address of your DSL modem, not your wireless router. This address may be subtly different, e.g., 192.168.0.1.
I suggest you pull up the window that shows your computer's network address, its netmask, and its server address. The server address is the one you need to type into your browser.
If this still gets you your DSL modem, it could be that you have configured your router to provide the same range of addresses on its LAN side as your DSL modem provides on your router's WAN side. This is an unworkable configuration. You will need to disconnect the DSL modem from the router so that you talk ONLY to the router, and change its configuration to use a different address range.
It's hard to get more specific without knowing what addresses you are using or how your network is set up. The above is a general overview of what you need to do to solve this problem.

Configure D-Link Wireless N Router DIR-615 for 2wire 2071-A modem

You do not need the disc. Using you browser, login into the router using the default IP 192.168.0.1 unless this has been changed and you should be able to configure your router.
login ADMIN and pass is blamk

Login in using your browser and go to the wireless settings and set-up a wireless password/key. Remember the key because each device will now need it to connect. You can also turn OFF Broadcast SSID and your network name will not be shown on anyone's device. You must remember the network name when using this method.

No internet connection

This should be connected as so. From wall outlet to DSL modem, from DSL modem to D-Link router, From D-Link router to Laptop via wireless or wired connection. You will still need the DSL modem installed but the wire coming from the DSL modem will go to uplink port on the router instead of into the laptop.

I have had that issue quite often and found that when you are using a router with DSL, the DSL modem and Router IP has a conflict because they are the same number. I suggest looking into a D-Link wireless router for use with DSL.

AOL DSL Plus

AOL DSL+ now uses PPPoE for authentication bypassing the client software. To set up your router: Step 1 Log into the web-based configuration of your router by opening a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape and enter the IP address of the router (192.168.0.1). Enter admin for username and then your password (blank by default). Configure the WAN side to use PPPoE. Please consult your manual for login instructions since all routers are not the same. Step 2 Enter your screen name followed by @aol.com for the user name. Enter your AOL password in the password box. Step 3 You will have to set the MTU to 1400. AOL DSL does not allow for anything higher than 1400. Step 4 Apply settings. Step 5 Unplug (turn off) the power to the modem and router. Wait 1 minute and then power on only the modem. Wait about 1 minute and then power on the router. NOTE: If you connect to the Internet with a different Internet service provider and want to use the AOL software, you can do that without configuring the router?s firewall settings. You need to configure the AOL software to connect using TCP/IP (LAN). Contact AOL for more specific configuration information of their software.
