Question about Logitech R-20 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

R-20 Sub stopped working.

Hi, I have had these speakers working fine for a couple of months, but one day I decided I might plug the computer into the TV. Was having some problems getting the computer to play through the TV speakers so eventually got my R-20 speakers and plugged them in, without the sub. And after when I took my computer back to its rightful place, the sub had just stopped working but the 2 speakers work fine still. I have no idea what the problem might be.

OS Windows Pro SP3
GA-P35-DS3L Mother Board
E2160 CPU
8600GT Video
2GB Ram
Onboard sound

Please ask if you require any more information.

Thanks, Sam

Hi fixyathing, There is no way to open the Sub to check for loose or broken cabling but I will check out the main speaker.

    Thanks

Might be a loose connection in the jack terminal. Sometimes pulling it in and out several times might free dirt or oxidation in the metal contacts. A contact cleaner is handy with this. Check also the wires for continuity. hope this helps..

I don't know to connect Logitech speaker to my computer.

Plug the green stereo cable to your PC (Green port on PC too)
Connect the black connector (Round shape) to the back of the sub-woofer (big box)
Play music on your PC, should work like a charm...

Hopefully you have already tested the PC to work fine and produce sound. Else you will need to t/s the PC to fix it...

if the PC is probably broken / port is broken - you can connect your iPOD or other music player's green port too - will work just fine!

Have only had speakers for about one month now and one speaker is not playing unless I hold the volume control to one side to made good contact. Were great speakers - to start with! Cheers.. Errol H

In regards to your speakers not working it sounds like the stereo plug may not be plugged in all the way. If it gets unplugged then only one connector is on the stereo plug. So I would unplug and replug the stereo cable on the computer and you sub. Doing will get the connectors lined backup.

Let me know if you still have trouble.

Logitech Z-5300 subwoofer from computer to i-pod problem...

The best thing to do is to contact the manufacturers. From this i understood that your speaker system is new. You surely have the manufacturer's guarantee. So its better to contact them than to get it repaired or replaced for free. Sir please do not try to open the sub as it will void the guarantee policy.

Hope your subs come into play as soon as possible.......
All the best...

JBL on rour stop working one hour later every time

Hi, I got my on tour a couple of months ago and it worked fine. But just recently it starts stopping emitting any sound one hour or so after I start it. No sound at all, and the light goes off too. If I press one of the buttons, the light will glim just once.

Popping sounds

Hi! depending on the brans speaker, dunno, sometimes the heat , or eletric changes , damage the board for the sub, this came of pop sound suddenly, you have to replace the Subwofer. in any case. the satelite speakers you can keep it.
I presumme is a Sound Blaster set?
some models of sound blaster speakers, like 5600 and others, have some problems with pop sound on the sub. keep and eye on them.
good luck
