Question about Panasonic PT-53X54 53" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Hello I have a Panasonic PT53WX54J rear projection tv.I've had it since 2004 with no problems. Today it just shut itself off with no prior warning or picture distortion. I tried to power it back on and it clicks...but when it gets to the second click which usually turns on the picture nothing happens and the power LED blinks 3 times stops then blinks 3 times again and again. I took the back off and cleaned out the dust with compressed air and a vacuum.Tried again with no results. I read the article on the convergance amplifiers at chris palmers blogspot. Is there any other reason to get the 3 blinks or could I be certain that the convergance ic's are bad? Any other tests I can try?
** Another thing I noticed is the power LED does not glow as brightly when its trying to power up?
A little discoloration on resitor at R7013 and is it normal for what looks to be wax around the bottom of the picture tube and below on the circuit board?
3 blinks LED shows problem with convergence out ICs that either bad or
not getting supplied volts from supply board to function properly.
