The machine washes well in all modes. However when going from wash to spin develops a rattle "sounds like a coin in the pump" but this is not so. rattle only appears when the spin is starting then stops when the spin gets into speed

if its a direct drive remove the rotor and see if theres a loose magnet etc,hope this helps

OK Check elec plug at motor . Mine was doing exac same thing . Take belt access panel off back and pull wire plug off motor and push back firmly on . This plug does not have a tab so vibrates off . Good luck .

more than likely the pump needs replacing, first of all remove the outlet drain hose from the the place it discharges and lower it into a bucket,this should allow it to syphon away,you may need to empyt the bucket a few times once the machine is empty you should be able to put it on its spin cycle once it has spun locate and remove the filter to remove any objects or lint, fill machine with warm water and try to drain and spin via the programme,if this do not work fit a new pump

Hi, all my years of fixing washing machines i have not come across the E2 error on a Toshiba washing machine and even the other E series error i have come across don't a troubleshooting guide which is a very big mistake from the manufacturer Toshiba.
This actually makes it difficult for us to troubleshoot, find and proffer a solution to fixing the problem which mean you require the service and presence of a washer technician to come fix the problem ignoring the E3 error code and just using your other explanation as to the way the machine malfunction to determine the cause of the problem and fixing it...
