While my child was playing with his racing car, the computer started making weird sound as if the magnetic field from the racing car transmitted into the computer magnetic engine; then a note appeared to shut it down. When I re-opened it there was another note on the starting black screen saying: insert system disk!!! what does it mean? I tried all the CDs related to the laptop; sevice solution, PC installation CD and the office and student pc. But nothing happened. How can I fix it please? Thank you

Did you try starting up with the installation disk already in the drive?
insert disk and leave in then shut off and turn back on and see if it will start with disk. Also what model is the computer.

Where is that crank position sensor on a 94 Pontiac Bonneville located

Solution: The camshaft sensor works according to the principle. It scans the ring gear on the camshaft. The rotation of the ring gear changes the Hall voltage of the Hall IC on the sensor head. This change in voltage is transmitted to the control unit and rated there to establish the required data.

Crankshaft Sensor: If we look at the crankshaft, we can see that it has a full power magnet next to it. This magnet continuously radiates a constant magnetic field. As the engine starts and the crankshaft rotates, the steel pin surrounding the shaft rotates around this area. This causes the field to fluctuate, creating an AC signal. This further signals the engine operating unit to sense rotational speed. Instead, the EMU is able to calculate camshaft position and speed to further optimize fuel injection and ignition.

Camshaft position sensor determination failed:

*Vehicles don't run like they used to. If your vehicle is moderately sluggish, stalls frequently, loses engine power, vibrates frequently, reduces fuel consumption or accelerates slowly - this is a camshaft condition. There are signs of sensor failure.

* Check engine light on

*The vehicle will not start.

Diagnose crankshaft position sensor failure:

* Problems starting the vehicle. The most common symptom associated with a damaged or malfunctioning crankshaft position sensor is difficulty starting the vehicle.

*Non-stop

I have a 99 diamante & my back passanger door will not stay closed is this door lock operaci?n by magnetic field to actuator

The lock actuator is a soliniod but sounds like your door latch is stuck or rusted on the inside you can try some wd40 inside the latch might help. also check that the child safety switch in the door is not in a middle position it's located on the door latch.

Why is my speaker no playing, some sound but no bass?

Assuming that it is a large speaker with a large magnet on the back, and it has a large cone that was designed to play 'bass', if it has been dropped (or, for example was transported in a vehicle that went over a big bump - particularly with the speaker sitting perpendicular to the floor of the car/truck), the pole piece (magnet) in the very center shifts and pinches the coil between the outer magnet and the pole piece. This stops the coil from moving in and out through the magnetic field. Because high frequencies do not require much motion of the coil within the magnetic field, if the coil itself did not get broken in the process, higher frequencies (treble) will be reproduced (however poorly), but you'll get zero low frequencies (bass). This COULD be fixable, but a speaker repair specialist with a suitable demagnetizer would be needed to reposition the pole piece, and then, the whole cone would probably need to be replaced, as well. Depending upon whether it is an expensive (JBL/EV?) or a cheap speaker, it may be cheaper just to replace it.

When I play a CD I get a buzzing sound. The sound starts as soon as I hit the play button (and before the CD is actually moving.) It gets louder once the CD starts playing. The sound is coming through...

Buzzing is usally AC line noise leaking into an un-shielded cable somewhere or a floating ground. If the AC plug is reversible, try that. Sometimes the buzz is from an attached device. Make sure all audio cables are plugged in tightly at each end and routed away from or at right angles to any power cords and away from other sources of strong magnetic fields like TV's. I've also seen variable track lights induce noise but it's usually minor.

The maginetic field won't stay charged

This can be a real pain and my answer may sound weird, but it has worked. I have experience for around 30 years with portable generators. I have come across this before. As you know there is a small amount of magnetism in the rotating winding. This is what starts the electricity flowing into the voltage regulator and so forth. We recommended to customers with this problem to store their generator 90 degrees different than the direction it is in now. Also, we recommended that they start the unit once per month for about 10 minutes. I do not know if they followed the monthly starting, but turning the plant (eg if it faces east, store it facing north or south) seemed to help. Like I said, it will sound weird, but it has worked in the past.

Computer making weird sounds

possibly audio feedback, but don't know why. Try disabling the microphone input (for help, post back) as a test. If now gone, re-enable mic but decrease gain slider (for help, post back).

My decks!

do both of your numarks make the same sound? what is the weird sound? The magnet is 1 piece, so I am not sure if it has come loose - very hard to come loose. Check to see if there is any debris inside the magnet/coil area. Sometimes staples, small metal items get stuck to the platter. Just lift the platter off the turntable, to expose the coil and the magnet. If all is clear, then you obviously have a more serious issue. However, you will have to be more detail in describing what kind of problem your having: - Does your turntable power on? - Does it sound weird when you press the play button or does it make a sound even when the platter is not rotating? - This happening to both turntables? - Did you buy these units new or used? - If used, do you know the history of the turntables? - Does it affect the speed or playing ability of the unit? - Do you use the unit on the road? Move it around? - Did this just start happening instantly, or was it something that just got louder over time? I know it's a lot of questions, but I need as much information as possible to properly source the problem via this limited method. - Justin DJPROAUDIO
