Little netbooks like the Acer Aspire One have a hidden partition from where is possible to restore operating system. Many times in windows menu (from start => All programs) the producers installs a little program that is to recovery the laptop to default factory settings.
Beware before doing this you may want to save all your documents because after this operation you will lose all of them if you don't save them
How do I find it? Because I'm at a window with "Setup is starting services" and then pops another window with "Windows could not complete the installation.
You can also try this:
While rebooting try pressing Alt+F10 keys. If this does not work you should look at the screen and see instructions given (can be press F2 to setup and F(something) to recovery
It is a notebook but has no cd tray. Is there a way I can reboot the system any other way?
Doing the Alt+F10 key (or what is the combination for your netbook, please reffer to the manual or to what appears on your screen) while booting you should be able to activate the hidden partition for installing operating system and for factory default recover
