Question about Kenmore 19233 Computerized Sewing Machine

Machine only sews at very slow rate

My machine is now only sewing at an extremely slow rate, even with the pedal pushed all the way to the floor. I've cleaned out the hook race and checked all other possible causes, including the plug in a working outlet. Help!

Check the speed control button on the front of the machine. It could have gotten slid all the way over to "turtle."

My Bernina 730E is varying in speed even though I am pressing foot pedal to thr floor. The speed does not stay steady, somestimes running extremely slow in full speed mode. What is wrong?

it could be pedal control or the speed control unit on the motor as it is reasonably common for that machine
take it in for a service to ensure that other factors ( thread around bobbin shaft, fluff etc is not slowing the machine

My Janome memory craft model 9000 sewing machine is now sewing at one slow speed. The quality of the stitch is good but too slow what should I look for?

Your speed slide sensor is bad. Your local repair shop can fix it. There is a chance it's the foot pedal. If it's still slow when you sew without your pedal, then it's the sensor.

You may have a loose connection or your motor in the foot pedal is burning out.

Brother Innovis 1500D is sewing very slowly even though the pedal is all the way down. If I remove the pedal and sew by pressing the green go switch, it still sews extremely slow. It doesnt matter what...

Has the speed control slider on the front of the 1500 been accidentally moved to the left? I know it sounds condescending but It has happened to me when using my Janome. :)

Sewing machine running slow

check the plug in to the outlet first
then check the power cord connection to the sewing machine
could be something wrong with the power cord
could also be something wrong with the motor
also could be a wiring problem

My singer 237 pedal was extremely hot then while sewing it made 2 very loud pops and the air smelt of burning although I could not find from where as both the motor and pedal were hot and smelly, shou

Unplug your machine immediately! Unplug the foot pedal and examine the wires carefully. Take the bottom off the pedal and look inside... you've had a short of some sort. Probably inside the pedal.

(I rewired one wrong once... it turned it into a heater) Old machine replacement parts are available online if you don't have the mechanical ability or are wary of attempting this.

Sewing machine stops sews a minute slows down or stops then starts up

I suggest having the machine checked at a sewing machine shop
to see if there is something wrong with the motor, or the foot pedal
but first check to make sure the power cord & foot pedal are
connected correctly

My singer 4522C home sewing machine slows very slowly, even when I floor the pedal. It's also beginning to smoke. Any ideas what is wrong with it?

If the motor is smoking it may mean a new motor, if it kis the foot control you need to take the little square suppressor out.
