Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
I am having a problem with an adsl modem router namely ovislink EVO-DSL11 where am not able to connect to microsoft sites for e.g. microsoft.com or even msn.com and some other sites.
I have disable all the firewalls but still same problem.
i have found a solution but I dont think its the appropriate one, I mean i have created a folder named MTU in the REGISTRY of the windows. then it works but I have to do that on all the computers. If you can help me out to solve that problem.
thanking you all in advance
If your modem/router has a setup page, you may configure the MTU on it instead of configuring it on each computer. The modem/router's setup page can be accessed using the address 192.168.1.1 on the Internet Explorer's address bar or you may follow these steps.
1) Connect to the website integrated router by typing its IP address local (default: 192.168.1.1).
2) In the left menu, click on Show advanced Settings.
3) In section Hotel, please click WAN.
4) Please set the following parameters:
-- MRU = 1400
-- MTU = 1400
-- MSS = 1360
5) Click on Submit.
6) Click the Save Setting and Reboot and if necessary on Submit.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
