2. Switch to Classic View
3. Open the Device Manager
4. Open the Sound folder
5. Clicked on the device
6. Disable the device
7. Enable the device

It should now detect the audio device

Well I hope you need a audio driver, and your system having windows vista operating system. thats fine but you forget to mention about your hardware like what pc/laptop do you have? If it was a assembled pc then what is the model number of your audio graphics card (or is the audio card is on board).

its a known issue --if you u upgrade vista home to vista ultimate.just u need to uninstall the audio driver and install it again

windows vista is not able to install your sound device. send the name of the motherbaord to me so that i can help you with the link to download the device.

go to start - control panel - system and maintenance - system - device manager, locate your sound card and uninstall your sound drivers, rebbot the computer and vista should reinstall them for you and they should work again

Sounds, video and game controlers > (right click) Realtek high definition audio > update driver sofware > browse my computer for driver software > let me pick from a list...> double click on Realtek high definition audio > YES to update driver warning > AND SWEET SOUND IS AUDIBLE :D
