There is a small hole in the door, you need a small drill bit or maybe a large paper clip to push in the "lock" behind the hole while you push the lock in turn the door clockwise and the door will come off. Try a rattling motion as it's not a smooth easy turn. Then get you wet vac, and a towel or two, turn ithe vac on and loosen the cap, a turn or two, on the pump, depending on the size of your vac you may have to stop and empty it a time or two. When you have all the water out take the cap out the rest of the way and collect your prize. line up the inner piece with the slot and replace the cap. Good luck, chuckb

HELP Please....5 boys no washer lol ....Bosch

Hello, I know you said you cleaned out the filter. Did you clean the drain filter? It might be blocked.

Here is how:

Get some towels
Notice the round door on the front bottom right of washer
Take a narrow screw driver and locate the hole in the round door
Insert the screwdriver into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't
Take much force. Rotate the hole clockwise then Remove the door

Once the door is out of the way you will see a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so
you can unscrew it by hand. Unscrew slowly so you don't get flooded using the towels to mop up the water.

Take your time and keep unscrewing it until it is free.

Pull out the trap that you just unscrewed and you'll most likely see the item that
caused the problem, maybe a coin or lint.

Door will not unlock

There's a small round "door" at the lower front right of the washer. At the 5-o'clock position in the door there is a small hole. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole and push in just a little then rotate the door clockwise up to the 6-o'clock position. The door will come out and behind it are the drain filter and the emergency door unlocking rod/cable held to the right side of the drain pump by a clip. Gently pull the rod/cable down until a click is heard then open the door.

How to open little white door

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Hopefully the info below will supply you with the answer you requested and a little more.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.

macmarkus_30.jpg

3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges on the lip of the panel are very sharp so be careful).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand or with the aid of pliers.

( you should also see a ring attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first if present is usually a good plan )

What is behind the round plate on the right front, bottom of my washer and how do i remove it?

Hi, That is the access panel for the washer drain pump button trap/lint filter as well as the emergency door release. To open it you will need a small screwdriver a drill bit or anything small enough to fit in the small hole you'll see in this panel. Once you've located the hole, apply a little pressure inward ( theres a lock tab there ) and turn it clockwise and it should come right off. Once off be careful, the edges are extremely sharp. Hope that answers your question. If so please rate it accordingly, if not let me know how I can assist you further. Thank's for visiting "fixya" for your solution and good luck. Macmarkus :)

How do you open the round service door?

Hi biskra, I see this question was posted almost a month ago however, it doesn't appear an answer has been presented so let me...better late than never hopefully. To open the service door ( this is the small round panel to the lower right of your main wash door on Bosch WFMC washers, for those not familiar ) you will need a small screwdriver or a drill bit or anything small enough to fit in the small hole you'll see in this panel.

What can i do if my washer won't open?

Hi,

**Please shut off your breaker at the service panel before attempting to perform any service I suggest to you **

On you washer you`ll see a small round plastic door on the right hand side near the bottom. This door can be opened with a small screwdriver (you should see a tiny hole in this cover) insert the driver it into the turn-hole and twist/turn counter-clockwise. Be careful, the edges are very sharp once this little door/cover comes off.
Once removed you`ll first see the drain pump, you might want to unscrew the insert/filter to drain the unit now if there is water present in the basket. You can reach in and there will be a manual release pull string, it should be attached to the pump, but if not feel around. Pull it and the door will release.

Hope you found my solution helpful. If so, please take a second and rate the solution you received from me here at fixya.

Good luck

macmarkus :)

Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole, push in just a little, and you can rotate the door clockwise, the door will come out and you can get to the problem. When the water is drained in machine the door is open able.

Immediately facing you is a black connector, about 4 inches (10cm) in diameter. When you unscrew this, all the water left in the washer will spill out onto the floor. Use a plastic bag to catch this or a small pan.(later models have a drain hose?) The black connector unscrews counterclockwise, and takes quite a few turns. Once you have it out, you'll find the source of your clog. Remove it, clean out, screw the black connector back in. You can check with rinse, if you want to make sure there are no leaks. Put the door back on and rotate.

Whirlpool Duet won't start

Open the door and look at the latch on the right side of the opening. Just above the hole the door latch fits into is a small switch. It should be sticking out about a quarter of an inch. You should be able to push it in and out easily. It is very common for these to break. If it is broken, the door latch assy will have to be replaced. About $65 for the part. You may be able to break a round toothpick or something else about that size to use as an actuator until you can get it repaired. Just stick it into the broken switch with about quarter inch sticking out. Then carefully close door. Post back to let me know if this helps or not.
