There is a small hole in the door, you need a small drill bit or maybe a large paper clip to push in the "lock" behind the hole while you push the lock in turn the door clockwise and the door will come off. Try a rattling motion as it's not a smooth easy turn. Then get you wet vac, and a towel or two, turn ithe vac on and loosen the cap, a turn or two, on the pump, depending on the size of your vac you may have to stop and empty it a time or two. When you have all the water out take the cap out the rest of the way and collect your prize. line up the inner piece with the slot and replace the cap. Good luck, chuckb

Door will not unlock

There's a small round "door" at the lower front right of the washer. At the 5-o'clock position in the door there is a small hole. Put a small screwdriver blade in the hole and push in just a little then rotate the door clockwise up to the 6-o'clock position. The door will come out and behind it are the drain filter and the emergency door unlocking rod/cable held to the right side of the drain pump by a clip. Gently pull the rod/cable down until a click is heard then open the door.

How to open little white door

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Hopefully the info below will supply you with the answer you requested and a little more.

**Unplug the washer from the wall or turn off the breaker before attempting any repairs**

  1. Locate the round door on the front of the machine (about 6" in diameter, lower right corner) macmarkus_26.jpg
  2. Find a drill bit or small screwdriver that fits in the hole in the round door.

macmarkus_30.jpg

3. Insert the bit into the hole in the door. It will push in a tab, it doesn't take much force. Rotate the hole (clockwise) to 6'oclock and it should come free. (the edges on the lip of the panel are very sharp so be careful).

4. Once the door is out of the way you'll be greeted by a 3-4" plastic cap with wings so you can unscrew it by hand or with the aid of pliers.

( you should also see a ring attached, if you pull this the door should unlatch, but getting the water out first if present is usually a good plan )

How do you open the round service door?

Hi biskra, I see this question was posted almost a month ago however, it doesn't appear an answer has been presented so let me...better late than never hopefully. To open the service door ( this is the small round panel to the lower right of your main wash door on Bosch WFMC washers, for those not familiar ) you will need a small screwdriver or a drill bit or anything small enough to fit in the small hole you'll see in this panel. Once you've located the hole, apply a little pressure inward ( theres a lock tab there ) and turn it clockwise and it should come right off. Once off be careful, the edges are extremely sharp. Hope that answers your question. If so please rate it accordingly, if not let me know how I can assist you further. Thank's for visiting "fixya" for your solution and good luck. Macmarkus :)

What can i do if my washer won't open?

Hi,

**Please shut off your breaker at the service panel before attempting to perform any service I suggest to you **

On you washer you`ll see a small round plastic door on the right hand side near the bottom. This door can be opened with a small screwdriver (you should see a tiny hole in this cover) insert the driver it into the turn-hole and twist/turn counter-clockwise. Be careful, the edges are very sharp once this little door/cover comes off.
Once removed you`ll first see the drain pump, you might want to unscrew the insert/filter to drain the unit now if there is water present in the basket. You can reach in and there will be a manual release pull string, it should be attached to the pump, but if not feel around. Pull it and the door will release.

Hope you found my solution helpful. If so, please take a second and rate the solution you received from me here at fixya.

Good luck

macmarkus :)

Put the door back on and rotate.

Rear pass. door locking mechanism

I just had the same problem. Can you still hear the electric power lock operating and clicking? If yes, it's easy to fix. Get the window down, so you can se the actuator motor through the gap and most likely the metal arm which connects to the lock felt just about half an inch down through the actuators connection. There is a little round hole at the end of the actuator where the arm is supposed to go through. The arm operating the lock is running just below the motor all the way through the door. This happens a lot when the silly plastic connection to the inside door button felt apart and got lost (AMERICAN MADE ...haha). The inside button doesn't operate anymore and the little steel arm is hanging free and is only connected to the actuator motor's arm through a little whole with some rubber. With enough vibration and door slamming it might eventually become loose and fall down, leaving the actuator working but not connected to the lock... Now, just get an old coat hanger, bend the wire like a hook and pull the arm below the actuator towards the front. The door will be unlocked. Now loosen the screws on the door handle and remove the clip on frame around the inside handle. Then carefully pull out the door panel starting at the bottom, then the sides (it's a little hard to get out - be careful not to brake the plastic parts). Once it's loose, push it upwards - it's sitting on the window frame. You can access everything easily now and reconnect the arm through the hole at the end of the actuator. Secure it with some cable binder around the top if you want - if the little connection knob on top of the steel arm is wrapped in a cable binder, it won't fall down again. Check if it works, put it back together, DONE!

Freezer door pops open when refrigerator door is closed and water is gathering under vegetable drawers.

Well the water gathering is probably the drain hole plugged,(under bottom drawer),its a round plug that sticks up a little,it turns out like a bolt,--now about the freezer door, how is the door seal?bad as in warped, torn, bent?incase you didnt know there is a magnet inside the seal.also check if the door needs to be re-adjusted

How to clean the bottom filter

Don't know how old your machine is but on my wtl5400 the bottom flap is opened by:
1. open the drier door
2. note small round button on the lower right hand side of the drum surround
3. press the button which will spring forward then
4. lower filter cover springs off giving acess to filter drawer
NB if the filter is over full the button will spring open itself as a gentle hint
NNB YOU CANNOT CLOSE DOOR WHILE THE BUTTON IS EXTENDED so take care door will only close when lower cover has been correctly replaced relocating the button flush with the front of the machine
