SOURCE: music on phone

You cannot set music as a ringtone, use BitPim; you can format your music for ringtones and BitPim will transfer it right to your ringtones on your phone

SOURCE: Can't get ringtones!

If the songs are in other format (having extension different such as WMV, mp3 etc) which is not supported by your mobile to be a ringtone than you can not do this.

Either you have to download the same file with extension which the other ringtone have, or use the one which already provided.

For more info contact to the Sony Erricsson directly for your model and its compatibility options.

Thanks

SOURCE: Unable to upload my own ringtones from my computer

If you have the music on your computer you can send it in a message to the phone and then open the message and apply it as "use as ring tone". Or if you have an old phone that allows you to down load it to the phone directly, then you can send it from that phone in a message to the other phone, open and apply as "ring tone".

SOURCE: ringtone settings for my faves

Ok first you go to Menu and go to Fun and Apps, then go to File, Music, then either Music or Memory Card where ever you have your music stored. Then highlight a song you want and press the top left button that is Options then go to Set as and click on myFaves ringtone and set it to one of your Faves. =]

Can the ringtone be changed on a Samsung GT E2550? If so - how?

This can be achieved using a microSD card formatted in the phone. In Settings menu, PC Connections, set the phone to Mass storage. Connect to computer and upload your ringtone file to the music folder.
Go to Menu, My files, Memory card, Music. Select your ringtone and under options select Copy to phone.
Now go to Settings, Profiles, select profile, Options, Edit, Call ringtone, Change, Music, Select your ringtone, then press Back repeatedly until you get back to initial screen.

I can not download music from my PC to my Katana Eclipse X.

Hi, Welcome to FixYa

There are three ways to transfer files to your mobile. USB,Bluetooth,3G Upload

Using a USB connection:
The Sanyo Katana Eclipse is compatible with the "USB Mass Storage" norm. While linking your Sanyo Katana Eclipse to your computer should make it appear as a memory key. Open it and just drag MP3 or other sound or music files straight to your phone, as if it was one of your computer's folder. For the remaining steps, please refer to your Sanyo Katana Eclipse manual. The ringtone section should explain how to select an uploaded file as a ringtone. You can download user guide here
By Bluetooth:
The Sanyo Katana Eclipse is Bluetooth-enabled. Bluetooth is a wireless system which lets you connect your cell phone to computers, headsets, car kits, etc. If your computer is also Bluetooth-enabled, simply establish a connection between both devices and transfer your music files from your computer to your Sanyo Katana Eclipse.

Via a 3G Uploader:
If none of the above tricks do not work with your Sanyo Katana Eclipse or if you prefer not to buy new accessories, you can still use one of the numerous free "3G Uploader" services available online. 3G uploaders work as follows: Save your own music on their web site and they will provide a temporary URL. Navigating to that URL with your Sanyo Katana Eclipse's browser should download the free ringtone.

Thanks

Need to know hot to get a ringtone off a memory card to a lg rumor phone.

i dont know exactly about the rumor, but this is usually a two step process, depending on the phone. If you already have music on the SD card, you need to go to your music files and select the one you want as a ringtone, then pull the menu up (the equivalent of right-clicking on a computer) by probably pressing the menu button when on the selected song. There should be a command that basically is " set this as a ringtone", which you should then select and accept.
Now depending on your phone, you might not even have to do this first step. You can go to either the phone menu, where you should access where you go to configure ringtones, idk if its sounds, phone, theme, whichever one. Here, the song you chose should appear along with the default ringtones that came with the phone. Hope this helps, hit me up if you still can't get it.

GO TO MYXER.COM AND UPLOAD YOUR OWN. THIS PHONE WON'T LET YOU CONVERT IT TO RINGTONES AND THATS THE ONLY THING I HATE ABOUT THIS PHONE.
