Question about GPS

Every time I select and address on my Navman F10 it comes up with a warning "A route cannot be calculated to your destination. Please check your routing preferences and try again." I have tried varying all rote preferences & resetting to factory settings but I cannot get it past this warning.

    I get the exact same error message ("a route cannot be calculated to your destination. please check your routing preferences and try again.") even when i have full signal.

    It's a Navman S35... brand new too! What did you/they do to fix it?

I rang navman support and they assisted me without wanting to charge me for the info!!

It means that no roads/routes exist to drive to the destination you inputted, sorry just the messenger. Is your map software up to date, if not update it, that may be the issue.. I update mine every 4 or so months.

How do you open door guidnace CD in a 05 chrysler 300

    Turn the ignition switch to "ON" or "ACC."

    Press the "NAV" button on the center console, and tap "Accept" to open the navigation menu.


  • 3 Tap "Destination Entry."

  • 4 Tap "Street Address" to input a destination. If you would like to choose a point of interest, tap the "Point of Interest" option.
  • 5 Tape the option to "Input Street Name In." If the current state or country is not correct, tap the "State" or "Country" button to change it.
  • 6 Type the street name, then tap "List" to choose your street.
  • 7 Input the house number for the address, and tap "Continue."
  • 8 Input your city name, and tap "Continue." The navigation system will calculate the route and display a map.

    Tap "Go" to activate route guidance. The system will give you turn-by-turn directions to your selected destination.

"no GPS sigal" after a long time in calculating


The software could have expired requiring updates. refer to the user guide on any materila details that may be useful. Get software support on the online site of device.

My nuvi 760 routes me the long way around


You should do the following: Changing the Navigation Settings;
Touch Tools>settings>Navigation. There you'll find how the sysytem will calculate your route.Route Preference.........Faster Time....Shorter Distance.......Off Road....Avoidances,very helpfull....Restore original navigation settings.

Navman N20 2 years old. Keeps flashing "Demo" i red on top right corner of screen over ETS etc. Also voice over comes and goes, keeps quiet when doing many turns and then goes crazy saying. ...


  • You should be able to switch demo mode off by pressing the preferences button (the one with four small circles printed on it), then select Route Options, then tap the right arrow button until you get to page 4 which is the Demonstration and Logging screen. Then untick the SmartST shop demonstration box.
    If that doesn’t work you could try doing a factory reset.

How to program a destination


In general, once you key in an address and then select a route, the name/route will be saved in "recent destinations." If you want to use that destination, just select it. If you want to add it to "Favorites", then select "Add Favorite" and all your recent destinations will appear. Select the one you want and rename it: E.g., instead of "220 W. Walnut St." rename it "Grandma's House" and it is set.
