Motorola Talkabout 2 way radio model T9500

I have 2 radios the one radio will not recieve the message but will put out a message. I tried different settings, even making sure everything was set exactly the same. They did work when I first bought them a month ago, only used them a couple of times to test them. Thanks

You might check your Qt filter to see if it is turned off. You can find the instructions on page 2 of the user manual.

I ptt and it immediatley 'roger beeps'

Beeping when you press the PTT button usually indicates a bad or weak battery. Check your batteries and charger. Clean contacts with a pencil eraser.

If you feel this is not the problem, then you have a radio problem. These radios are non-repairable, as parts and schematics were never released for them.

I can send but not receive messages on my Motorola Talkabout MH Series Two-Way Radio.

Check your CODE aka interference code eliminator. Both radios must have the same frequency and code to communicate.

T5700 and T9500 con speak between them?

Directions for programming the T5700 can be found starting on page 18 here http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T56XX_57XX_User_Manual_E.pdf

Directions for programming the T9500 can be found on page 1 under the heading MENU OPTIONS here http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T9500%20FINAL%20-%20English%20only%20all%20rights%20reserved%20and%20call%20center%20email%2004-24-07.pdf

These two radios have many similar features, but some which differ. For best results leave all the special features such as Qt filter, call alert, and interference eliminator codes, turned off or set to zero until you get the radios to function in a basic mode on just the same channel as one another. Then once you've found what works, you can experiment adding special features, if desired.

Best regards.

I have talkabout t9500. When i push ptt, the radio close and open. I can't transmit for this reason...

It is possible you have a battery problem. Recharge or replace your battery and see if the problem persists. Another test, you can exchange the battery with a known good radio and see if the problem is solved.

Can recieve calls but cannot call out

Here is a link to the user guide for the T9500: http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/T9500%20FINAL%20-%20English%20only%20all%20rights%20reserved%20and%20call%20center%20email%2004-24-07.pdf

Check your interference eliminator code. Sounds like you have yours set to zero (off) and the other radio has it set to a number other than zero. The instructions are in the upper right corner of page one.

Best regards.

How can I restart motorola talkabout T9500?? I can 'call' just from one radio to another, cant get two way connection..

Check your Frequency, Code and Qt filter to be certain they match identically. If this doesn't seem to work, go back to a basic operation by shutting off the Qt filter and Code. You can do this by setting them to OFF or zero. Lastly, read about Call Tones, and shut them off if you or the other user are not familar with the procedure to Transmit using them.
