Sorry, but I got the same message. You have a vista64 system and the driver canon has is only for vista 32. They do not have, and have no plans to have, a driver for the vista 64. Go to my computer and go to the system properties tab on top. It will tell you if you have a 64

Unfortunately there are a lot of problems with the Vista OS, this is one of them.
