Question about Epson LX-300+ II Matrix Printer
I have several of these and the most common prob is the missing lines at the lowest part of the printing. i tried replacing the flexi cable and the head with new and working ones but to no effect.....
i also tried washing the control board for accumulated dirt thinking that this will be the cause of the prob but also, to no avail....
any schematic or service manual of the LX 300+II ESC/P will also be highly appreciated
Hello, my name is alejandro Rey, im from argentina. i have a company who repears exclusively this kind of printers. I im the manager, director and technitian. i will give you the solution for your problem. is not complex, but it requieres some experience with electronic.
the lx 300+2 have a new electronic board. is much more nice to see but, more dificult to meassure with common instruments. the coils from the printerhead still being controlled by a group of 9 transistors. before, in the other boards, the transistors are discrete. you can find them very quicly. now, their are SMD ( mounted and solded in the upper part of the board) and are very very small.
and if you have some transistor open, or burned or killed, you could replace them quickly. now, is difficult to see even the name of them.
but, our friends from epson think in protection and put in series with the transistors one fuse for each. so find the one whos open and replace it. you could use a litle wire, but if you could get the same fuse it will be good. ( i choose the wireç9
you could search for me in the internet in spanish in argentina. type in google "ale rey" and you find me. if you need more help.
