Simply hold down (in) the Multi Exp button while advancing the rewind lever to re-**** the shutter--which allows the camera to hold the film stationary to make 2nd or 3rd or 4th exposure to the frame of film...however many exposures that you desire to that frame of film.

I don't know how to how to use the button named FNC, MOD, SEL, ADJ, S/S, S/R, PRN

You're referring to the MF-21 Multi-Control back. You can download a copy of the manual from
http://butkus.org/chinon/nikon/nikon_mf-21/nikon_mf-21.htm

Just download part 1. It has the whole thing, while part 2 is just the second half.

My cameras advance lever will not spring back and allow the film to move to the next frame. How do i fix it?

push the film release on the bottom of the camera and try to continue forward then. If you are trying to get 27 pictures on a 24 exp. roll you may have advanced your film so far that it is stuck on the piece of tape that attaches the film to the spool. Take only 24 pictures.

Can't roll film for double exposure.

After taking the first shot, hold down the Multi-Exposure button while cocking the film-advance lever. This cocks the shutter without winding the film. You can continue to do this for as many exposures as you want. Just don't hold down the M-E button while cocking after the last exposure.

The Multi-Exposure button is the button on the front of the camera just below the shutter release button.

The shuter is jamed.

The first thing to check are the batteries make sure they are good.

Second thing to check, are you at the end of the film?, I have had lots of customers think they have a 36 exp film in the camera, only to find it is a 24 exp running out of film will stop the shutter and winding from re cocking

Third thing to check if the batteries are good is the position of the mirror, if it is stuck in the up position it may be that the shutter has just hung up, this happens when the camera gets a little olde and the grease in the shutter mech dries up and the shutter blinds get a bit stiff.

A shutter overhaul will fix this but you may be able to free up as a temporary measure. Follow the following steps.

1. Remove the film from the camera.
2. Open the back cover.
3. Hold the camera so you are applying a little pressure on the wind on lever.
4. Very gently and slowly press your thumb onto the shutter curtain material about 5-6mm, just enough to apply a little tension to the material but not enough for it to come out of its side locations.

If the shutter has just hung up this extra tension will cause the mirror to come back down and then allow you to carry on winding.

My camera won't load film

Set your lens to the smallest aperture ( largest number on lens ) f/22 or f/32 and lock it in place with the small latch on the aperture ring. The camera won't operate in auto modes without the lens set there.

Will not auto focus

"... Autofocus Lock ("AF-L"). Pressing the AF-L (Autofocus Lock) button enables the Nikon F4 to lock the focus. Simultaneous lock of AF-L and AE-L is possible. "'FREEZE FOCUS" - is another great function in the F4. It allows automatic shutter release when subject enters a pre focused distance - available with Nikon MF-23 and/or the 250 exp. MF-24 Multi-Control Back. i.e. with the shutter button fully depressed, the shutter is automatically fired when a subject comes into a preset manually focused position. This function is recommended for sports races because the racing course is usually known beforehand. It also works well in wildlife remote control photography, scientific, forensic and other technical photography. ..."
