I must admit I've not seen that particular problem but I would try to get the radio into anti theft mode by disconnecting the negative battery cable for awhile. Then enter your radio code and press the scan button and see if goes back to radio mode. Let me know how you make out.

I had the same problem on my mercedes and i called the 800 # to mercedes and gave them my vin # and they gave me my code. So.. Its probably the same for chevrolet. It should be listed in the front of the owners manuel as long as the book goes to your vin#. good luck with that.. oh yeah u may want to find out how to enter it into your radio while u have them on the ph. unless u already know.

The only way that you are able to get a radio code for your vehicle is to contact a Mercedes Dealership and give them your Mode/VIN/and registration they will then give you the code to enter into it.

Call a mercedes dealer and provide them with you VIN and the serial number on the back of your radio, they will give you the code.

If your lucky the code may have been written down in the manual book and instructions on how to enter the code. If there was no codes you can try 0000 and see if that works which is the default if no security codes were programed.
If that does not work go to www.radio-code.com. I think it's like $9.00 and they can retrieve the codes for you.
