SOURCE: the rca rs2656 cd player wont open

HI
First there is the outside cover there is plenty screws in it unscrew it and take it off.  then you will see either the cd jammed take it out and put the surounder on it.  If there is a shield over the cd box take the top off and then take the cd out!

RCA RS2656 Shelf System Can hear the motor spinning but will not eject or close, but I can spin the gear manually then pull it open or close with my hand. Can't see how to get to the gears and belts...
no easy way for this one you will require a service manual. this will give you info on how to replace the belts and part numbers

The rca rs2656 cd player wont open
it's a defect.... take it back.... but just know that one of your cd's is jammed inside the 5 disk changer.,... I had to take it totally apart and the cd was missing chunks. I put it back together to no avail... it won't even turn on now... so back it goes to Walmart now.

Rca rs2656 5 disc unit
Those "cleaning" discs are rarely effective. Open up the unit cna carefully clean the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Update this if that failes to resolve the problem.

Had a problem with a customer's stereo system, i replaced the transformer and put in two new fuses and all worked good again. Another time it was a damaged capacitor allowing full charge to go through causing the fuse to blow immediately so i just replaced the capacitor and the fuse and all was good.
