Question about Kenmore 62602 Electric Dryer
Worked and then pushed the start button for the next load and nothing. Unscrewed control panel, took out start switch and it was obvious that it had blown. It was clear plastic and could see the works.
Bought replacement switch, installed it and machine does not start. Drum light on, buzzer works when I push start button...this tells me the switch is good but maybe something else is bad.
I am just heading back to work from a workig vacation and need my dryer. I am $40+ dollars in the hole and still not fixed.
Please suggest something I haven't tried...oh, did check the door safety, works.
Possible bad timer but first ck thermal fuse ..if top mount filter remove back fuse is small white object on blower housing ..if door mount filter remove bottom panel remove lint screen remove 2 screws each side holing lint screen housing in place fuse is behind it ..if fuse cks good suspect timer ..
