· Scanner home position sensor failure
· Defective scanner motor
· Defective main motor
· Defective dc power supply board
· Incorrect scanner drive wire position
· Defective dc harness
· CN103 or CN105 on the main board is not correctly connected.
· FU202 on the dc power supply board open (blown fuse).
Are you a tech? I suspect not. You need to remove the drum unit, disassemble, separate the drum from the development unit. Remove cover of developer unit, add developer, reassemble, and run SP2214 to calibrate. This is NOT a procedure to be performed by an end user...no disrespect intended.
Clean the thermistor and clear the code by turning on both dip switches on the main board, turn off the main switch, turn off the dip switches, turn on the main switch.
When the developer is the same the toner is the same.The toner drops in to the developer,thus the toner must be the same.They just package it different to be a pain!
Your copier may need developer if the cycle count is over 150,000 copies. Once that is added to the toner the Toner/Developer sensor should be calibrated and should work fine.
Sometimes the drum can create light copies if it was exposed to light from being out of the machine or leaving the door open too long on the side of the machine letting light in.
Did you remove the tape from the toner bottle when you installed it? It may just be looking to add toner back to the developer, to bring it back to the set level of toner? See if it stops
